Crossroads (Beautiful Biker MC Romance Series) - DD Prince Page 0,79

This is Fork. 2 Jackals here about to take us both. Don’t call my phone. I’ll be in touch asap. Leaving jojo’s phone in her room so they don’t see this. Got my knife.

I looked across the hall on my way out and saw his unmade bunk. At least my family would’ve seen all this and not jumped to the conclusion that he’d spent the night in my bed. I noticed his brotherhood cut had been put back in that room. Brady would’ve gotten here first and must have done that.

I gathered the groceries I’d bought the day before that would spoil if left here and put them into a bag and then I did a walkaround and shut off all the lights. I usually stripped beds before I left, but decided I’d deal with the beds another time. I just wanted out of here.

I stepped outside and saw them all in a circle/huddle pow wow with Christian talking low.

He stopped talking when I stepped onto the deck.

“Ride back with me?” Brady piped up.

“But I have my bike.” I gestured.

“I’ll drive it home,” Deacon said. “I rode down with Ride.”

I nodded, got kisses from my dad and brothers and handed Deacon the key before I stopped in front of Christian.

“Thank you for everything,” I said and then dropped my bags and the boots that had saved our lives, and stepped up closer and hugged him.

His arms came around me and he dropped a kiss on top of my head. A sisterly kiss. “My pleasure, babe,” he stated. Casually. I looked up at him for a split second and saw a mask fixed perfectly in place.

I swallowed and failed the fight to hide the emotion on my face, before I squatted to grab my stuff. I went to the passenger side of the tow truck and yanked the door open.

“See you soon, punkin,” Dad said, looking intense.

I blew out a breath. “See ya.”

Ten minutes into the ride, Brady’s hand came down on mine and squeezed. “You okay?”

I shook my head. “Not even close.”

He squeezed again before his hand went back to the steering wheel. “You will be.”

I nodded.

“Anything go down with you and Fork?” Brady asked.

“Like what?” I said, impatiently. “Like maybe almost getting killed after getting taken by two Jackals?”

“Sorry,” Brady waved his hand defensively. “Fork gave us the rundown while you were inside. Last night when I found out you were both there, I wondered… Nevermind. I’ll just shut up and let you de-compress. Take some deep breaths, babe. Drink some vitamin water. I grabbed you one.” He gestured to the cup holder.

“Thanks, Bray,” I whispered before folding my arms across my chest and staring out the window, staring at the mirror seeing we were towing his SUV. I had no idea what they were doing back there, likely getting a plan together.

I got home to Ella, Jenna, and Pippa all in the back TV room in the clubhouse. When they heard us come in, they practically tackled me as I’d been trying to get my key into the door and then they dragged me down the hall and told me they were going to mother me and help me detox from my kidnapping.

“I can’t wait until we move to the new place so I can take a fucking bubble bath,” I groaned.

“Come to my apartment. Right now,” Jenna said. “I have not only a soaker tub, but the best bath products money can buy.”

“Can I? Can I sleep over?” I asked. I suddenly really wanted out of this clubhouse. I didn’t think I could lay in my bed here tonight with that wall between me and him. I wanted to be someplace normal, a place that felt like a home, not a flophouse.

“Pff. Move in until the clubhouse is done, if you want.”

“Don’t toy with me,” I warned her.

“I’m not,” Jenna insisted.

“My brothers are all pissed at me; not sure Rider is gonna want me under his roof.”

She shook her head. “Good thing I have influence over him then.”

I laughed but then immediately covered my ears. “Lalala.”

“Yeah… you’re one brave woman,” Pippa told me. “Spencer’s head almost exploded yesterday.”

Ella gave me a look with pursed lips. “You fibbed to me.”

“Technically I didn’t.” I said. “Think about my words.”

She looked at me shrewdly. “Technicality. Low blow, though, sister.”

I blew out a long breath. “Wasn’t tryin’ to hurt you, Ella. Wasn’t about you at all.”

Her irritation cleared. “I know.”

“Okay, forget that shit for now, guys. How about I get my
