Courage Under Fire (Silver Creek #2) - Lindsay McKenna Page 0,99
just the opposite. The softened, tender look in his eyes made tears well up in her own, and she swallowed convulsively as he lay down on the blankets, the long, hard curve of his desire obvious. And all hers. And she was all his. Already, her core was soaked, aching and wanting. As he cupped her shoulders, drawing her on top of him, her thighs opening, settling on each side of his narrow hips, Cari closed her eyes as she met him for the first time.
Chase closed his hands over her rounded hips, drawing her slowly forward, her wetness hot, gliding and caressing him. He groaned, arching up against her, the feeling electric, powerful and needy. Her hands rested like butterfly wings against his chest as she began to rock and slide back and forth on top of him, giving him equal pleasure, allowing it to sink in, like rippling, heated water pooling where they touched, sending out heated rivulets of utter pleasure. He gloried in her boldness, suspending them in those minutes of introduction, appreciation, and deepening the hunger both of them felt equally for one another.
Time dissolved. The world rotated only around them, right here, right now. For Cari, this moment was magical, precious, and would never be felt quite the same way ever again because their love was finally unfolding to one another fully, joyfully, and without reservation or fear. Absorbing the shudders through his body, his hands opening and closing against her hips, she could feel him monitoring her satiation, her enjoyment, clearly wanting her to revel in it as much as he was.
She leaned down, her hard nipples grazing the field of silky dark hair, finding his mouth, sealing it with her own, their breathing becoming ragged and fast. She took his lips swiftly, as if claiming him for her own, and lifted her hips just enough to meet, touch, and then allow him to thrust slowly into her. The moment was sublime, making her feel as if she were drifting into a beautiful universe of sparkling stars that were hotly spinning around her, floating with Chase, each making the other his or her own. And when he moved fully into her, widening her, triggering all those sweet spots within her, she suddenly froze, feeling the volcanic eruption of her own juices exploding from within her, bathing him, flinging her into galaxies of color, lights, and utter pleasure.
It was the first of five orgasms that he would cajole and urge out of her ripe, hungry body, and all she could do was continue to absorb the inner joy mated with his, the thrusts designed to tease her into coming, over and over again.
Finally, spent, she lay upon his body, her brow against his jaw, breathing raggedly, lips parted, and sliding her arms around his neck, holding him close, wanting him forever. Then, and only then, did he claim her as the man he was to her woman. And as he froze, growling, gripping her hips, grinding against her, Cari’s heart burst open, so euphoric and profound, that she nearly felt faint. And afterward, she lay atop him, joined, his roughened hands moving slowly across the slickness of her back and hips, feeling utterly fulfilled as never before.
Tiredness swept through her even though she tried to fight it. As if Chase sensed her state, he eased out of her, guiding her to her left side, bringing her close and then taking the blanket and pulling it over them to keep them from getting chilled. As she laid her head on his upper arm, feeling the flex of his biceps, his continued tenderness toward her brought her to her knees in another way. No man had treated her so wonderfully as Chase just had. Her whole body felt like an overheated vessel, and she continued to feel those wonderful rippling sensations that were still alive and vibrating through her lower body. His other arm came around her shoulders and back, drawing her next to him, sharing his warmth with her. It was impossible to open her eyes. Cari continued to float, to focus on only Chase and herself. There was such an unspoken luxury that they’d shared between them.
She felt his mouth against her temple, kissing her lightly, as if urging her to just surrender to the sleep that so desperately wanted to pull her under into that warm, cossetting darkness behind her eyelids. Love for him welled up within her, consuming her, and she wanted nothing
