Come Hot (Club Silken #2) - Jerrie Alexander Page 0,29

body protests when your hands aren’t on me.”

“I say go with what your body wants.”

The conversation ends when another couple joins us. Nick doesn’t release my hand until we stop on their floor and they get off. Nick steps in front of me, tilting my head up with his thumb and finger. “The happy couple is leaving on their honeymoon tonight after the reception. Zack’s leaving me in charge of Club Silken. Four nights a week I’ll have to be there.”

I try to hide my disappointment. “I hadn’t given any thought to who would take over during their honeymoon.”

“The extra work won’t take my attention off you. I’m going to spend the next couple of days convincing you to join me Thursday night.” He holds the elevator open for me, walks me to my door, and delivers a soul-searing kiss. His lips are soft, but his tongue is forceful and demanding. I’m breathing like a track star when he releases me and steps back.

“You sure know how to convince a girl.”

“Just how old are you ‘girl’?”

“I was joking, but for your information, I’m twenty-four. How old are you?”

“Ouch.” He rocks back on his heels. “I’m thirty-three.”

I playfully punch him on the arm. “I don’t give a damn if you’re thirty-three or forty-three.”

He blows out a big breath, walks to the elevator door, and pushes the call button. “If you discover you can’t survive without me, call. Otherwise, I’ll see you around five-thirty.”

“Nick”

He turns to face me. “Yeah?”

“Thank you.”

“For what?”

“The best orgasms of my life.” I’m sure I hear laughter as the doors slide closed.

My cell rings just as I get inside and put it on the end table. The ring is one I’ve assigned Chels, so I kick off my shoes before stretching out on the couch and then answer. “Hey.”

“Hey, my ass. Why aren’t you picking up your messages?” Chels scolding doesn’t mean she’s mad. She likes to keep tabs on our little group.

“I misplaced my phone. Truly. I haven’t had a chance to check them yet. I just now sat down on my couch.” Damn. The minute I uttered the last sentence, I’d opened the door for questions.

“Where’d you find it?”

There’s no reason to lie, but I’m not sure I want to discuss where I’ve been. “In Nick’s console.”

“I knew it,” she says, followed by a self-satisfied sounding sigh.

“You knew what?”

“I told Morgan you and Nick would hook up.”

“It’s not a secret. Everyone will know tonight since he’s taking me to the church. Are Morgan and Zack expecting a big crowd?”

“That’s why they scheduled it on a Monday. Silken is closed so friends and employees can attend.”

“I thought she wanted a small wedding.”

“That was before Zack.” There was a pause, a few seconds of neither of us speaking. “Are you going to tell me about Nick? I’d rather hear it from you than have to dream up images that burn my retinas.”

My skin warms just thinking about him. “He’s amazing. There’s something between us. I just don’t know what.”

“It’s a big step for a small-town girl like you to jump into his world. Morgan will have plenty of advice while we’re getting our mani-pedis.”

“No advice from you?”

“Are you happy?” she asks.

“And satisfied.” I can’t resist.

“Holy shit. I need to know more.” Chels is pleading.

“We’re riding to the salon together, right?”

“Sure. I’ll see you at one thirty.”

I end the conversation and drop back on the couch. Daydreaming isn’t my thing. As a kid, I was taught idle minds were a sign of laziness. Yet, I close my eyes and see Nick’s head lower between my thighs. His hot tongue starts a blaze only he can put out. I can’t believe I’m soaked just thinking about him worshiping my pussy. The logical thing is more of him, but, for now, my vibrator will do the job. I hurry to my bedroom and get Big Ben from the nightstand drawer, shuck my jeans and panties, and crawl to the center of my bed. Legs spread wide, I turn it on high, roll it in my juices before sliding it inside me.

My cell rings. Shit. I left it on the kitchen table. I remove Ben, place him on the pillow, and run downstairs. I read the text and laugh out loud.

Nick: Keep your hands off what’s mine.

Kayla: lol How do you know what I’m doing?

Seconds later I get a call requesting me to FaceTime with him. I run upstairs, land on my bed, and accept the invitation. “Hi,” I say cheerfully to
