Come Hot (Club Silken #2) - Jerrie Alexander Page 0,10

her through the dancing crowd and the group of fans packed around the bandstand. She turns in my arms and walks backward, her hips are sensuous, swirling, and continuously moving. Her eyes are sparkling and she’s smiling at me as if I’d just made her genuinely very happy. This is a different woman than the one I helped out of my car a few minutes ago.

I catch the attention of one of my waitresses and point to my booth. It’s on a raised platform for better viewing and always reserved. She’s waiting on us with the red velvet rope in her hands.

“Kayla.” She’s singing with the band so I tighten my grip on her waist. I have to yell for her to hear. “Turn around and watch your step.”

She nods and I help her into the owner’s booth. “This is perfect.”

I settle her in. “What would you like to drink?”

“I’ll have what you have.”

“You’re sure?”

“Yeah.” She’s nodding and smiling and singing.

“Two Pappy’s.” It’s a great whiskey and perfect for sipping. “One water back.”

The drinks are delivered quickly and I place the water next to her drink. She lifts her glass to her nose and breathes in deeply. I usually sip a Pappy’s but damn she’s knocked me off my game so I toss this one back. Kayla’s eyebrows lift and a second later she does the same. Her eyes widen, but she doesn’t touch the water glass.

I put my cell on the table, tap in the front bar’s number, and have two more on the way. My gut tells me she needs this tonight. Time to put away all her problems. I hope she knows she’s safe with me. I’ve never taken advantage of a drunk woman and I won’t start now.

The band kicks off “Hungry Heart” and I tap her on the shoulder. When she turns toward me, my breath catches. Her face is so full of delight it’s contagious. “Would you like to dance?”

She all but flies out of the booth and takes over a small corner of the dance floor. Her arms reach out and her fingers wiggle for me to join her. I’m not the best dancer in the house but I can hold my own so I don’t hesitate. My moves turned out to mean nothing as her arms are in the air and she turns, moving her upper body one direction and her gorgeous ass the other way. Fuck. She backs toward me. My hands seem to be destined to be on her hips, and I waste no time placing them there again.

Her movements are erotic and sexy as fuck. Her ass is touching me and I mimic her every move. I don’t think my dick can get any harder until she slides down my body toward the floor and back up. Oh, hell yes, I turn to steel.

Three songs later, the band takes a break. A couple of more rubs from Kayla and I might have blown in my slacks.

We slide into the booth, both of us panting like we’ve broken the record for the mile run. Her face is sweating and her lungs are heaving exactly like mine. Kayla lifts the glass of water to her lips, swallows a couple of times, and hands it to me. I finish it off and order two cold bottles of water from the bar and two damp bar towels.

“You’re one sexy dancer. I’m impressed,” she says, giving me that smile again. I want to kiss her more than I’ve wanted anything in a long time.

“Thanks. You have moves like a professional dancer.”

“What kind of professional dancer? A stripper?” Her eyes are wide.

She shocked the hell out of me and it takes a second for me to answer. “No. How did you get that out of what I said?”

She laughs and picks up her whiskey and drains it. Shit, even thinking the word “drain” makes me want her. “I was joking. Take a seat and rest. You’re going need your energy for the next set.”

“I could use a drink.” I didn’t get the words out of my mouth before the bottles of water are delivered along with two more whiskeys.

“How about I check out the restroom during the break?”

“I’ll wait right here.” She’s not gone long so that means the extra stalls are working out. “So? What did you think?”

“I think the marble is beautiful, the lighting over the mirrors is perfect for fixing makeup, and that every sports venue should have that many toilets.”

“That’s exactly
