Changed by Fire (Phoenix Rising #6) - Harper Wylde Page 0,66

as he swept inside. Someone’s hand tangled in my hair, wrapping the long tresses around their fist. A sharp tug wrenched my mouth from Hiro’s until I was staring into the hungry blue eyes of my Basilisk. Joshua was panting from watching Hiro devour me, his need spiking through the mental connection.

Your mate needs you, sweetheart. Will you give him what he wants? Damien questioned, a smug note lacing his words. He knew I would. He just wanted to hear me say it.

Yes.

Joshua’s eyes darkened to midnight blue, his breath washing over my swollen, wet lips. Lips Hiro had kissed rosy. The thought only seemed to turn Joshua on more, his groan short-lived as he crashed his mouth onto mine. His tongue swirled and probed and fucked into my mouth, making my core clench. Hiro chuckled darkly, and I knew if I glanced his way, he’d be smirking sinfully as he watched me kiss another man.

Theo’s hands trailed away until I was alone with Joshua once more, enjoying the waves of his need as he kissed me senseless.

She’s ready. Ryder’s excitement bounced through my mind, and Joshua moaned from whatever it was they all shared with him, selectively closing me out of the mental connection.

The daze Joshua had worked me into slowly faded as he pulled away, they guys all exchanging looks that told me they were mentally conversing without me. I couldn’t help the pout that settled on my face.

Don’t worry, Nix, Ryder teased. You won’t be sad for long.

Nix

The guys were nearly vibrating with excited energy as I followed them down the hallway. I eyed them suspiciously, enjoying the squeeze of Joshua’s hand and the light caresses of the others that occasionally brushed down my back or arm. Hiro combed my hair away from my face, tucking the strands behind my ear before he leaned forward and placed a kiss on my cheek.

“Have fun tonight,” he murmured in my ear, and then he pulled away. Ryder was bouncing on his toes when Theo opened an unfamiliar door and stepped inside, holding it for Joshua and me to enter.

I gasped, my eyes flaring wide at the scene before me. A king-sized bed sat in the center of the room with a cozy fireplace burning away in front of it. A jacuzzi tub was positioned in one corner, while a large window lined the far wall, framing a view of moonlit, snowy mountains. Bright red rose petals were scattered along the bedding, and candles decorated the room in clusters, some on the nightstand while others were on the dresser. The private bathroom even had some flickering away on the vanity.

“Wow.” Joshua dropped my hand as he went to explore the room, leaving me to lean back against Damien who’d stepped up behind me. His hands caressed up my back to my shoulders where he began a light massage. “Is this where you’ve been staying?” He inhaled deeply, trying to catch our scents clinging to the sheets, coating the walls, or filling the air. His brow furrowed.

“Pssh. I wish these were our normal digs.” Ryder gazed around longingly. “We’d still have to solve the bed problem, because I doubt all seven of us would be comfortable in one king-sized bed, but there’s so much room in here.” He demonstrated by doing a cartwheel in the open space near the door. Killian kicked out his foot and knocked the Ceraptor off balance, sending him crashing onto his ass.

“Seriously, dude?” Ryder grimaced as he stood, rubbing his backside.

Killian smirked and grinned, thoroughly amused. “Payback.” He shrugged.

“Is this for the Abra thing? Still holding a grudge, bunny boy?” Ryder’s grimace turned into a mischievous grin, the glint in his eyes betraying the pandemonium he was about to cause.

Hiro stepped up and grasped the back of Ryder’s neck, and I bit my lip as I saw the Ceraptor shiver from the dominant contact.

“Enough,” Hiro whispered gently but firmly. “This time is for Nix and Joshua. There will be time to antagonize Killian later.”

“Hey,” Killian barked, crossing his arms over his broad chest.

Ryder gave Hiro a nod as best as he could within the Kitsune’s grasp, while a hungry blaze built in his hazel eyes.

“Good boy,” Hiro murmured into Ry’s ear, and I nearly groaned from the heat that shot to my core as I heard those two little words. I’d always loved how Hiro called me ‘good girl,’ and it seemed the effect was just as potent on Ryder as it was on me. Not
