gift to each of us, and so is our dominance a gift from us to you. And it only works if both sides want it."

He caught her eyes. "So, what say you, Laurie Taggart? Do you want to forego that side of things?"

They were all staring at her, and she couldn't look at any of them when she answered in a very small voice as she squirmed in her chair in a way that got each of them unbearably hard, "I-I definitely do want to avoid the pain of the spankings. You guys spank hard!" she whispered accusatorily, but each of them just smiled at that.

"But there are other things about submitting to you—all of you—in that way that are somewhat compensatory," she admitted reluctantly.

"Meaning it gets you wet, even though you don't want it to," Adam summarized with annoying accuracy and an even more annoyingly smug grin.

"We understand that, hon. We do. But we really do think that it's what's best for you."

Jace spoke up. "I'm a big proponent of touching bases every once in a while, about where things are in a relationship, and I humbly suggest that that is even more of a necessity with this type of thing, being that we're all so new at it."

Everyone was nodding at that.

"So, every two months or so, we'll get together and talk about where things are and see what things might need to be tweaked."

"And removed from the rules list!" Laurie suggested enthusiastically.

But the guys just laughed. "It's much more likely that you'll end up with more rules, rather than fewer, I'm afraid, honey," Ryan said, sounding utterly unsympathetic.

"Why don't you put that into the calendar, darlin'. A Sunday night at home, just the four of us. We'll do what we always do—have dinner then talk."

She added it to the calendar before she forgot, as "Elimination of Rules Dinner.”

Chapter 8

When they finally began to incorporate sex back into their relationships, the brothers' appetites were absolutely voracious, so much so that she became somewhat run down because of their constant attentions keeping her up all night. Not that she ever complained in the least—to any of them. But the result was that not only was she miserable at work now, she was practically asleep there, too. It went on for about two weeks. Even on her night off—which was every three days—she couldn't seem to catch up on her sleep.

As a result, she was exhausted. Not only was she sleep deprived, but she was almost overly sated, if there was such a thing. And there was—naturally, she supposed—a certain amount of rivalry amongst the guys, such that they each wanted to be the best she'd ever had. She was so tired all the time that she hadn't given any of them any reason to correct her in the least, because when she wasn't with them or working, she was asleep.

It was a Saturday that she had off, which now meant that she didn't even have to cook for them. She always made enough that there were leftovers in the fridge of various meals, and there were usually meals made ahead—just in case she got sick or was gone or whatever—that were stored in individual portions, so that any of the brothers could grab a good, non-processed meal and just nuke it in a few minutes. She'd even written instructions about how to do so on some freezer tape she found and placed on each package.

Laure was sitting, slumped—really, still asleep—at the table. There was a yogurt in front of her, but she wasn't eating it.

The guys were up—all three of them—and they were in the kitchen getting their own breakfasts. Suddenly, Adam tapped Jace and Ryan on the shoulder, pointing their gaze wordlessly toward her. She looked totally exhausted, and the three of them looked worried.

"I don't think she's been eating much."

"She broke into tears night before last when I asked her to pass the salt."

Jace had heard just about enough.

They all moved to the table where she was, taking their food with them and allowing her to awaken naturally as they sat down.

"Oh, dear. I drifted off there for a moment. I'm sorry," Laurie apologized, yawning loudly and not looking very awake, even then.

"Baby girl, you can barely keep your eyes open," Jace whispered kindly as he rubbed her back. "Why don't you go back to bed?"

She lifted her head from where it had been lolling on her palm, huge tears spilling down her cheeks, lower lip trembling.
