than willing to accommodate his request. She pushed her hips forward, no longer able to wait even a second longer to have them joined as one.

He thrust inside her, quickly moving in and out of her heat. He’d been teasing her all afternoon, and she wasn’t going to last very long. He took turns lavishing each of her breasts while he pumped into her faster with each thrust. When he reached between their bodies and rubbed his thumb along her swollen flesh, she jerked in his arms and tensed as her climax washed over her.

“Brandon,” she cried out in pleasure, only seconds before he tensed, and she felt his release pumping deep inside her. He brought his head up, taking her lips in a gentle kiss as he held her tightly to him, spilling his seed deep inside.

“Ah, I’ll never be able to swim again without this image in my mind,” he said with a chuckle.

“Mmm, it may not be a problem, considering my legs aren’t going to work long enough for us to get back into the boat. We may have to just stay in the sea permanently,” she said with a laugh.

“Sounds good to me,” he told her. Her legs were starting to get a bit sore, though, so she finally released her grip around his hips and pulled back. He protested the movement.

“Okay, I’m getting some energy back. Swim with me to the sand,” she said before pushing off and swimming toward the shore. She’d never sunbathed in the nude before, but her honeymoon was full of firsts, so it was one more thing she could add to her list. Her brow wrinkled as she realized other people could be about.

“Is this area private?” she asked.

“Yes, I brought you here so I could have my way with you,” he answered. She chuckled at his attempt at a wicked laugh. He wasn’t very good at playing the bad guy.

They spent the rest of their day alternating between lying in the warm sand, swimming, making love, and eating wonderful food his private chef had prepared. By the time they got back to their cottage, she was completely depleted of energy, but the day had been well worth the exhaustion.

Her last thought before falling asleep was she hoped she didn’t wake up back in the real world to find out the last year or so of her life had been nothing more than a dream. She couldn’t imagine how cruel that would be.

She really had gotten her Cinderella story. She hadn’t dreamed of it, but that didn’t mean fairy tales didn’t come true. Plus, if she was dreaming, she never wanted to wake.

EPILOGUE

Joseph was kicked back in his favorite chair, sipping on a bottle of scotch, smoking a cigar, and wondering what he was going to do about his nephew Hudson. The boy was withdrawn, pulling away from his family and his friends.

And Joseph couldn’t get him to say why. He didn’t know what was happening. Joseph didn’t like being left in the dark. It was far too unfamiliar of a place for him. Now, Crew was another mystery altogether as well. That boy had made significant changes in his life the past few years, and Joseph couldn’t seem to keep up with him.

Were both of his nephews trying to confuse him? That would seem about right. He wouldn’t put it past either one of them. The kids all knew he was meddling in their lives. But instead of being grateful that he’d helped them find the loves of their lives, they were complaining. That just showed how ungrateful kids could sometimes be. Maybe his last two nephews were trying to outsmart him. He laughed at the thought. That wouldn’t go too well for them at all.

His door suddenly burst open, making Joseph jump in his chair. He wasn’t easily startled, but a door slamming against the wall was enough to make him sit up. He looked at the person standing there, then let out a breath of relief.

He’d thought for a moment Katherine had gotten home early and was about to bust him. It was a nice day, and he knew he should’ve gone outside to puff on his cigar. But he loved his good chair.

“What in the world are you doing?” he asked the man standing there. “You nearly gave me a heart attack.”

Damien Whitfield glowered in the doorway, not moving forward. His fists were clenched, and he looked as if he was trying to form words. Joseph
