Bondage Buddies (Masters of Marquis #1) - Golden Angel Page 0,53
of danger, the excitement of knowing someone could have caught them… it’s not like there had been kids in the theater. Besides, the important point was they hadn’t been. No harm, no foul.
Suppressing a smile, Kincaid shook his head. He was the only one Mitch had been a little nervous about telling. While Kincaid was incredibly tolerant of a lot of shenanigans, he was a police detective.
“Tell me you never did anything of the sort before,” Zach said, arching an eyebrow at Brian. “Also, hurry up and finish shuffling.”
Chuckling, Brian gave the cards one last shuffle before dealing them out. As game nights went, gin rummy wasn’t exactly intensive in Mitch’s opinion, but he’d grown up in an extremely nerdy household. Still, he liked that it didn’t require his full concentration and was easy to set up, take down, and he didn’t have to remember anything for the next time they got together. Much easier than the games he’d grown up playing.
“I might have gotten a little handsy in a movie theater, but that was in high school.” Brian gave Mitch his stern look, one that would have sent the baby girls of Stronghold and Marquis swooning. “Maybe once in college. Not as an adult.”
“Well, I didn’t date much in high school and not at all in college, so there ya go. I’m making up for lost time.” Mitch grinned, picking his cards up from the table to sort through them.
“It might be kind of fun to try as an adult,” Zach mused, earning himself an intense look from Kincaid, he didn’t seem to notice. Brian and Mitch both focused on their cards, pretending they hadn’t noticed, either. Whatever was brewing between the two men seemed to be making its way to the surface more often lately.
“Anytime you want to go see a movie, just let me know,” Kincaid said silkily, using the same tone he did for submissives. Zach went beet red, but he didn’t protest Kincaid’s flirtatious statement. The tension in the room seemed to ratchet up another notch, and not only the sexual tension between Kincaid and Zach. They seemed to be waiting for Brian and Mitch’s reactions.
“Are you two official now?” Brian asked.
Zach and Kincaid exchanged another look, then Zach nodded. He was still beet red but apparently, determined to see the confession through. “We’re… seeing each other. Officially.”
“Cheers!” Mitch said, lifting up his beer. “About fucking time. What are you doing about the whole neither of you being submissive and Kincaid not being a masochist?” Zach had finally admitted he had feelings for Kincaid, which seemed like the biggest roadblock ahead of them. Zach was a sadist. Kincaid dominated. While Kincaid could get everything he needed by dominating Zach, and Zach had always been more switchy than dominant, he was still a sadist.
“Keep playing at Stronghold and Marquis,” Kincaid said, smiling at Zach, the look in his eyes almost tender. Damn, that was cute. “There are enough unattached masochists willing to scene without a relationship. Sometimes, we’ll even pair up.”
Oh, now that was interesting. Mitch wondered exactly how that was going to work when Zach definitely had a crush on Amy. Not his business, though. He just hoped it didn’t blow up in their faces.
“Well, ten out of ten would recommend a trip to the movie theater,” Mitch said, giving them a thumbs up. Zach blushed harder, and Kincaid grinned.
“If y’all want to be in public that badly, you could sign up to be one of the stage shows at Marquis.” Brian grinned at their reactions. None of them were against some exhibitionism at the club, but being the center of attention on a stage was a step none of them had taken yet.
“I’m taking Domi to Marquis on Thursday,” Mitch said, his inflection heavy with meaning, before picking up his beer to take a sip.
“Ah, taking her back to where it all started for your third date,” Brian said, his voice going a little higher and taking on a dreamy tone. “Then you’ll take her into one of the back rooms and do filthy, depraved things to her.”
They all cracked up, and Mitch pointed his finger at Brian, winking.
“Exactly.”
Granted, he planned on making it a little more romantic than that. Even though he’d never dated much, he’d watched enough movies and his friends’ relationships to know some of the basics. He’d already talked to Freddy to get it all set up.
Domi
She couldn’t count the number of times she and Mitch had been at Marquis
