Blind Spot - Katana Collins Page 0,78
over my face. She opened her mouth to speak, only no words came out. And that was okay—we didn’t need words right now. Instead, she sloped her lips over mine in a sweet kiss that just barely brushed my lips.
Her hand drifted down, slipping below the waistband of my basketball shorts, and she sprung my erection free. I grasped her around the waist with one arm, not wanting to let go, and with the other pulled a condom out of my wallet. Shelby’s hand was around me, stroking in a firm grip, and I was momentarily blinded with pleasure. Ripping the foil with my teeth, I moved my shaking hand, unrolling the condom over myself. Shelby took over, finishing for me and guiding me inside of her. I melded my mouth to hers, fusing our lips together in a kiss that could melt metal. This girl made me feel more alive, more amazing than anyone I had ever met before—and she was mine. Here, in my arms. She thrust her hips onto mine, and her body gripped me tighter than I ever imagined possible. I trembled, gaining control of my senses, forcing myself to slow down. I didn’t want to hurt her. It had to be enjoyable for Shelby, first and foremost.
She clamped her legs tighter, urging me to move more. I pulled out slowly, dragging myself out of her almost entirely and stopped with just my head at her slick entrance. Rolling my hips in circles, I drove back into her, controlled but firm. From below, she moaned, squirming against me, and I shifted my hands to her ass, lifting her and driving myself deeper inside. Her eyes opened to a slit, revealing a sliver of almond, and her head fell back against the bar behind her. Through lips swollen from kissing, small rushes of air escaped to the sound of my name. She kept moaning it, over and over until I thought I was going to explode.
I kneaded her breast through her shirt, brushing my thumb over her sensitive nipple, and she scraped her nails down my back with another cry.
My climax heated at the base of my pelvis, building with intensity. Through a jagged breath, I managed to speak. “Shelby—I–I can’t hold on much longer,” I winced with the words, thrusting into her.
She hugged me closer, her teeth scraping my shoulder. “Don’t wait. Come…”
It was all I needed to hear. I thrust once more inside of her, as deep as possible, and let go. My orgasm rushed from my pelvis in a shudder up my torso, and I think I screamed out her name. She leveraged my body, riding me until every shiver had run its course.
I pushed myself off the counter, brushing her hair out of her eyes. Pressing my lips to her forehead, I caressed my thumb down her neck. “You okay?”
She nodded, and a heavy breath sighed from her chest. “I’m so okay. Better than.”
I nodded. “I know the feeling.” I slowly withdrew, taking the condom off, tying a knot at the end and tossing it in the garbage. “Let’s go to bed. You’ll stay the night, right?” I swallowed hard, and it went down like a lump. It would kill me to not wake up beside her tomorrow.
She raised an eyebrow and lifted a small smile. “As long as we can have a repeat of that.”
I laughed. “Some of us need sleep.”
She snorted and burrowed closer into my neck. “Fine. Then I expect some first thing in the morning.”
I rolled my eyes, tugging her skirt back in place. “You’re so demanding.”
“So…” There was hesitancy in her voice. “Guess it’s bedtime?” She slid off the counter. Was it in my head? The slight shift in her demeanor?
“Yeah. You sure you’re okay?”
She nodded. “I think so. I haven’t talked so much about that time in my life in…in years. Hell, I don’t know that I’ve ever talked about it that much.”
“You can tell me anything, babe.” She smiled at that, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I’m serious,” I assured her. “You could confess that you murdered someone, and I wouldn’t care.”
That earned me a larger smile—it even got a giggle out of her. “Really? So if I called you over tomorrow with a chopped up corpse in my freezer…?”
“I’d grab a shovel and pull out a map. There has to be a dozen places around here we could bury a body.”
“Okay, okay,” she laughed. “This took a weird turn.”
“No more secrets, okay?” I
