Bitter Kisses (It's Just High School #3) - Thandiwe Mpofu Page 0,50

slight tremble of fear in his voice.

“What?” Sean bellows. I flinch.

“I can… I can fix it now!”

“Then why the fuck are you standing there staring at this bitch like you want a round with her? I said no one has a taste of her until I fucking do. Now, go and fucking fix it!”

The shame, the embarrassment, the fear… it all just slams into me when I realize they do plan on abusing me like that.

“Go!”

I hear movement and soon, the banging of a door.

“Fuck, fuck,” Sean says, pacing.

“Looks like you’re shit out of luck, you bastard,” Kristine says for the first time. I’m so glad to hear her voice that I whip around and see her still on the floor, a grimace on her face. “All your plans are useless.”

“Shut up!”

“You and your coward brother can’t even get anything right,” she taunts, and I realize she’s picking up where I left off in my mockery of them. “Which is laughable considering that idiot is better than you.”

If I wasn’t in so much pain, I’d smile.

“Didn’t I tell you to fucking shut up?” Sean roars, stepping closer to her. That step jerks me out of the sinkhole my mind was falling into.

“What, the truth’s too much for you to bear?” I mock. “I thought you had more balls than that…”

“Oh, come on, Mia, what balls?” Kristine says sarcastically. “It’s just one tiny, itty bitty ball.”

I chuckle, exaggerating it like a mean girl.

“Just one to go with that pencil sized dick?”

“You know it.”

We both start laughing, aware that Sean is redder in the face than a firetruck.

“How dare you mock me?” Sean shouts stalking toward me. I see the darkness in his eyes and realize we just made a big mistake my taunting this asshole.

He reaches for me and then he starts running his hand up and down my leg.

“A pencil dick huh?” he says. “Let’s see about that.”

I’m pretty sure this is it.

This motherfucker is going to rape me. Just as I brace myself to fight, he turns away and sets his hungry sights on Kristine whose face has now fallen, the realization of what’s about to happen clear on her face.

Helpless, I watch as he stalks over to Kristine and grabs her by her hair.

“Sean please, don’t hurt me,” Kristine cries, but he ignores her completely, looking at me instead as he smirks.

“You think I don’t know what was happening in here?” he says, his voice ugly and low. “Which is idiotic to me since you’re the one who told me you hate this Ice Queen bitch and that she deserves everything she’s going to get and now, you make plans to what? Escape through mocking me? Teaming up with her?”

“No, nothing happened between her and I. I told you before, I ignored her—”

“Yeah, and now you think you can insult me to my face?” Sean seethes. “You think I don’t know that you made some pretty cute promises to each other?”

The moment he reaches her, he kicks her legs apart and Kristine cries out.

“There’s no need to hurt her!” I rush to say, panic rising up my throat. “If you want to prove some kind of point to me, then leave her alone.”

He laughs then. “I don’t fucking think so,” he says. “See, I thought you were nothing but a cold, heartless, selfish bitch but it turns out you actually care. I mean why else would you defend someone who sold you out?”

As he says that, he drags Kristine up by her hair. She struggles to stand as she cries, begging for Sean to let her go, but he backhands her so hard, she cries out and falls back down.

“Let her go, your issue is with me obviously, just let her go.”

“No, I think you need a lesson and a show of what’s to come for you.”

And with that, he rips the flimsy dress Kristine is wears, shredding it into two, revealing a body riddled with bruises and wounds, then he pushes her down to the floor where she lands hard on her knees.

“Please, don’t, Sean,” she begs in a high-pitched voice. “I can’t take it anymore.”

Anymore?

“Shut up, Kristine and stop pretending like this is something new to you when you were begging me to make you feel good,” Sean sneers in her ears, unzipping his jeans, as he does, but even then, he’s still looking at me.

“No, Sean please. I don’t feel so good.”

He ignores her of course. “Let’s show your little friend, that you said you
