A Billionaire's Holiday Love - Posey Parks Page 0,18

day.”

I clapped my hands. “Let’s do it.”

We lifted the corner cabinet first. I held it firm against the wall. Noah clutched the power drill, driving the screws into the wood.

“Are you all right?”

“Yes. Our cabinets are similar in style and color? Is that bad?”

“No. We share the same bright ideas for kitchen designs. Dark wood stands out.”

“I agree. Can’t wait until my dishwasher is delivered tomorrow.”

“Cook here in the morning so we don’t have to worry about washing dishes.”

“Ok.”

“You can let go.”

I stepped back. The single cabinet sat on the bare wall alone. “Looks good.”

“Installing the middle cabinets will take a little extra time. Now we test your strength.”

We chuckled as we hoisted the next set of cabinets in the air.

“This evening I’m attending the ice-skating event.”

“Ok.”

“Since you don’t like holiday events you should relax at home.”

His cold gaze fell on me. “You don’t want me there?” he growled.

“I don’t need your negativity tonight. Besides Ismael might be there.”

“Screw that douche bag. I’m not threatened by him.”

“Noah, I gathered that when you told the guy I was your woman.”

He shook his head as he drilled several screws in various locations of the cabinet.

“I’ll drive.”

I rolled my eyes. “Fine, you’ll wear a solid green sweater.”

He arched a brow. “No.”

“Yes, or you can go alone.”

“You’re lucky you’re beautiful,” he muttered.

“I’ll take that as a compliment.”

“And you’re sleeping here tonight.”

My brows lowered. “No, I’m not.”

“Yes, you are.” The beast bared his teeth.

“The fuck I am,” I bit out through gritted teeth too.

Guess this was a dog fight because neither of us backed down.

Noah moved closer and met my gaze. “How do I make you feel?”

“What kind of question is that?”

“I’ll ask in a different way. Do I scare you or do you feel safe when you’re in my presence?”

His arm flexed gripping the cabinet. “You can rest your arms, Hope.” Noah sat the drill on the shelf.

I wiggled my arms allowing the blood to flow.

“Noah, I slept like a baby last night. Is that what you want to hear?”

He reached out, hooking his arm around my waist. Noah’s lips melted against my forehead.

Tingles shot through my entire body.

“Even with that smart mouth of yours the first day I laid eyes on you I fucking had to have you.”

“Is that why you volunteered to help me renovate my house?”

“To be close to you every day on my vacation. Yes.”

“Noah, I won’t change who I am.”

“I’d never ask you too. The ugly Christmas T-shirts, sweaters, and bells on your boots is your thing.”

I slapped my palm against his chest as I backed out of his embrace.

“I didn’t expect to return to the Christmas town that I visited growing up and fall for a woman who is head over heels in love with Christmas. How can I compete?”

“I don’t know.” Running my fingers over my dangling dark brown ponytail, I looked anywhere but in his eyes.

He picked up the drill. “Hope, we have plenty of time to get to know each other.”

Noah returned his attention to our project.

Palming the cabinets over my head, I pondered on his words. He liked me the day we met at the diner. God his lips felt so fucking good against my skin.

Don’t get lost in his words. The guy is freakishly gorgeous. You know the kind of man that makes you nervous just being in his presence.

The only reason I wasn’t nervous was because I refused to show interest in him. His tousled brown hair, neatly shaven beard, those stunning green eyes that could laser your panties off of your body. And that sinful chiseled frame.

Hey, Hope, listen up. If you’re not careful he’ll have your toes curling by the end of the night. The devilish voice inside me snickered.

There was no way I’d fuck him after just meeting him two days ago.

The rest of the morning I made short talk to keep the focus off the two of us becoming an item.

“Noah, how old are you?”

“Thirty- three?”

“And what are you like twenty-two?” He smirked.

“Nope. Happy to know I look pretty good for thirty,” I grinned.

“What are your brothers like?”

I beamed with excitement as I held up the first set of cabinets in my kitchen.

“My older brother Zach is cunning. He can charm the panties off of any woman.” Gripping the power drill, Noah shook his head as he drilled a screw into the wood.

“Nolan. That guy had a wild streak growing up. He snowboarded off our roof one time. That was epic.”

My mouth dropped open. “Dangerous much?”

“I know,” Noah
