A Billionaire's Cabin Love - Posey Parks Page 0,64
this life up for anything in the world. My wife and my daughter were the center of all that mattered.
Kara had nightmares for months after Peter was killed. I clutched her in my arms and told her I was there. And we’d make it through. The following winter her love for Alaska returned. She was finally able to mush near the cave where the ordeal took place. Kara was so strong. I married the right woman. My heart beat so loud for her. She was everything I didn’t know I wanted. I’d always do everything in my power to protect her and our family.
Standing on the oversized deck. Kara rocked Aurora in her arms.
“Collin, hurry up before you miss the sunset.”
“Baby, I’m coming. I don’t want to spill your drink.” I stepped beside her and placed her cocoa and the bottle on the ledge.
“Smells delicious.” She smiled wide.
“Someone’s sleepy.” I reached in Kara’s arms and grabbed Aurora.
Her little lips ticked up. “Dadda.”
“Aurora, you always want your daddy to rock you to sleep.”
Kara sipped her cocoa.
I grabbed Aurora’s bottle and placed it between her mittens. Her thick brown curls peeked from under her hat, cascading over her honey brown skin. Aurora was bundled in her pink snowsuit. I brushed a lock of hair off her forehead as her lids lowered.
“Daddy will have to stop soon,” Kara cooed.
I leaned into Aurora’s ear. “Never.”
“Yeah, I heard that.”
“Baby, since you’re pregnant again I think it’s best I pick up Aurora more.”
My lips fell against Kara’s forehead.
“Thank you.”
Kara peeked at Aurora. “Look how calm she is. You are an amazing dad.”
“Can’t believe I thought I’d be anything like my father.”
“I told you, I believed in you, Collin.” Kara leaned her head against my arm and clutched my waist.
“That sunset is what dreams are made of,” she sighed.
“Kara. You…are what dreams are made of.”

LUNCHTIME CHRONICLES: BUTTER PECAN GELATO
CHAPTER ONE
MAXON
“Be back in five,” I yelled over my shoulder.
The director tossed his script to the floor and shouted obscenities to the crew. Seemed pissed to me. I didn’t care. Rayne’s pouty lips appeared in my head. Fuck, now my cock was alert. This was the wrong place for that kind of thinking, while being on a set brimming with a minimum of thirty staff members bouncing around.
“Eli, want to grab a bite?” I peeked to the right, clutching my cell in my sweaty palm.
“Laura.” A framed smile lit my lips. “No. We should return to the set soon.”
I darted out of the side door. She was on my heels.
What was my co-star's deal?
The paparazzi cameras flashed in my face.
“What’s the release date of Eliminator two?” a reporter asked.
“Can’t say.”
“Eli,” fans chanted, hanging over the cement barricade. The bodyguards shoved them back.
Didn’t these people have lives? They stood out here at ungodly hours waiting to speak to me. Seven years I’ve lived in L.A. Damn, it’s been that long?
Doubt I’d ever grow accustomed to the crying fans begging for a pic.
“We love you.”
I tossed a hand in the air. “Love you, too,” I grinned.
Laura looped her arm around mine. “It’s your movie. You can make the director wait.”
“He’s ticked. I stopped production already. Besides, I’d like to get out of here at a decent hour. It’s already a little after ten.”
Gliding my fingers through my golden-brown hair, I halted.
“Rayne has a party at club Alter tonight. I have to tell her I can’t make it.” My heart sank. The last thing I wished to do was disappoint my best friend.
She released my arm. “You don’t owe her an explanation. Rayne is just your friend, right?”
She batted her blond eyelashes over her brilliant blue eyes. Laura was beautiful. But she wasn’t Rayne.
“Besides, we’re dating. You’re coming home with me.” Laura’s lips puckered, and she inched up on her tippy toes. She was five-five. An inch taller than Rayne.
I pulled her into my six-two frame for a quick hug, patting her head like a puppy.
“Hey, I’ll see you inside.”
She stepped back, nostrils flaring.
Eyes narrowed, I stared at her lips, waiting patiently for her to overstep.
She exhaled sharply. “See you in a sec.” Laura flicked her long blonde hair over her shoulder and pranced into the studio.
Bet the repercussions from the last time she insulted my friend danced in her skull before she uttered a fucking word.
My staff wasn’t stupid enough to insult Rayne. Why did they realize how important she was to me and Laura didn’t? Oh, because my costar desired to be my girlfriend. All the women
