A Billionaire's Cabin Love - Posey Parks Page 0,34
have her bring you the same. I apologize for the situation with Casey. We’ve hooked up a couple of times.”
She laughed. “It’s ok. Michelle and Chrissy warned me I’d have to make my presence known. They said the women would be like blood suckers trying to suck my man out of my life.”
I slipped into the seat beside her, resting my arm on the back of her chair. “It means so much to me that you’re here.” I held her chin between my thumb and index finger and crushed her soft lips.
Her hand swept along my jawline as she slipped her tongue between my lips. Our tongues tangled, fighting for dominance.
Casey cleared her throat. I was so wrapped up in Kara, I didn’t consider the abundance of customers staring at us. I broke our kiss, reluctantly.
She placed a glass of wine and soup on the table.
“Casey, please bring another lobster bisque for Kara and a bottle of the same red wine.”
Kara’s head dropped on my shoulder and her hand massaged my thigh. Good thing the table blocked my now rock-hard cock. Not sure how I’d make it out the door without the restaurant, witnessing my fucking boner. I wanted to scoop Kara out of the chair and whisk her away. Finally, I’d be completely alone with my woman.
“Sure thing.” She grinned.
“You two look good together.”
“Thank you,” Kara and I stated, respectively.
“You’re welcome. I’ll be right back.” Casey disappeared.
Kara grabbed a roll. “I like you sitting here, opposed to across the table.”
“I love staring into those brown eyes, but I can do that anytime.”
“Yum, this roll is delicious. We need an order to go.”
“Not a problem, baby.”
I glanced around at the smiling faces, staring at me and my queen. I’d never been on this side of the relationship lens. Felt fucking fantastic.
CHAPTER EIGHT
COLLIN
Arms wrapped around Kara’s waist, we stood in the center of my private parking section of my building.
“Eight cars,” she gasped.
“Why do you need so many cars, Collin?”
“I don’t. I guess you can say I collect cars. I have a few parked in my friend Sebastian’s parking garage up the street. He actually found this condo for me. He understood it was important I had a place to park my vehicles.”
She shook her head. “I doubt I’ll be driving anytime soon. I’d get lost in an instant.” She peeked to her right.
“Harry, it will be you and I for a while.”
He grinned. “Not a problem, Ms. Kara. Text me and I’ll be here.”
“Great.”
“Let’s head upstairs, Kara.”
The elevator opened inside my penthouse condo. Kara’s hands flew over her mouth as she strolled toward the balcony doors. Harry placed Kara’s shopping bags inside the bedroom.
He stepped beside me, wearing a navy suit. “Do either of you need anything else, Mr. Daughtry?”
“No, Harry, that will be all.”
Kara peeked over her shoulder. “See you tomorrow, Harry.”
He was two inches shorter, fit, and thirty-five. Single guy. He doubled as a driver and bodyguard.
“Have a good evening.” He hopped on the elevator.
I was rich, and due to a recent business man of the year article a few months back, now I was semi-famous. Hadn’t quite mentioned that part to Kara. Hoping I wouldn’t have to. The front page of the magazine was plastered on a billboard in downtown L.A. At Lucky’s, they didn’t treat me any differently. That’s why I felt it was a great place to take Kara for lunch.
I placed Kara’s leftover pasta and rolls on the kitchen counter. “Are you ready for a tour?”
“Yes.”
Remote in hand, I stepped beside Kara. “This remote is your friend.” I pointed it toward the window. The doors retracted, exposing the sleek slated gray tile private rooftop balcony.
She released my hand and strolled outdoors. “This is breathtaking. I can’t believe this is your home.”
“Our home.”
Her fingers grazed over the edge of the raised flower beds.
“You can grow your own vegetables if you’d like.”
She smiled from ear to ear. “I’d love that.”
There was that infectious smile.
“Is this your own fitness room?” She opened the glass door, scanning the state-of-the-art equipment.
“Yes.”
“Overlooking the city while you work out. Wow, I love it.”
We walked back inside. Her fingers fell along the taupe furniture.
“Everything is so elegant. I thought this would be a bachelor pad. Clothes tossed over the furniture,” she laughed.
“The maid hides any evidence that a bachelor lives here.”
Kara stretched her fingers over the cold cream marble kitchen countertop. “All Viking appliances. One thing in common you, me, and my dad have.”
“Yes, I noticed you didn’t spare any cost when
