him in her hands, stroking him until, with a groan that sent a thrill rushing through her, he rolled between her legs. He grabbed her by the hips, then, his eyes locked on hers, drove himself into her, filling her deeply and fully with the first thrust of his powerful hips.
His groan of pleasure matched hers when their bodies became one, and as the passion between them came to fruition, the tenuous bond that had just begun to grow strengthened and tightened. Breathless and whimpering, her body throbbing with pleasure, she opened herself to him, letting him drive himself deeper and deeper into her, filling her so completely with each stroke that they became one.
Deep inside her, a tight knot of pleasure sent out waves of sensation, each larger than the next until her entire world was reduced only to their two bodies. She held onto Reggie’s shoulders, her nails digging into his skin, her body no longer under her control, until, with a strangled cry, he emptied himself inside her, taking her over the edge. As one wave of pleasure after another washed over her, she cried out his name, her body trembling beneath him.
Reggie collapsed on top of her, and she welcomed his weight, sure that if he wasn’t there, she’d float away on a cloud of bliss. They were both out of breath, their chests heaving, their bodies covered in sweat, but she’d never been happier, never felt as content as she did right at that moment. When he rolled off her and he gathered her in his arms, she sighed happily, snuggled deeper into his arms, then closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Chapter Fifteen
***Reggie***
Reggie woke to the sound of a soft knock on his bedroom door and groaned, realizing that they’d only gotten a few hours’ sleep, but the sight of Janice sleeping next to him chased the exhaustion away, and his body came to life. Before he could act on his impulse, the door creaked open to reveal Josie standing in the doorway, staring down at the floor, her cheeks flaming.
“I’m sorry to bother you, sir, but I was...umm...looking for Ms. Janice,” she managed to stammer. “Mrs. Francisco wants her downstairs right away for breakfast, and she didn’t seem very happy.”
Janice sat up in bed, her hair a tangled mess, looking even more beautiful in the morning light than she had the night before. “Oh, Josie, I’m so sorry. You must have been worried sick when you didn’t find me in my room this morning,” she said, sitting up in bed.
Josie looked up at her, then quickly back down at her feet. “I knew you were here,” she said. “I’m afraid the entire house knows you were here.”
When Janice’s cheeks turned scarlet, he leaned over and kissed her. “It’s okay. We’re engaged, remember?” he asked. “I guess I’d better do something about a ring, though.”
“A ring?” Janice asked, a strange look on her face.
Reggie grinned at her. “Well, it is customary for the man to give his bride a ring,” he said.
“I wasn’t sure it was really happening,” she said, the corners of her mouth turning up slightly.
“Oh, it’s happening; there’s no way I’m letting you get away from me,” he said, pulling her into his arms.
Josie cleared her throat in the doorway, shifting from foot to foot. “What should I tell Mrs. Francisco?”
Janice pushed him away. “I’m coming, Josie, just give me a second,” she said.
Reggie pushed her back into the bed. “Tell Mrs. Francisco that Janice has been unforeseeably detained and she’ll be there as soon as she can,” he said, grinning down at her as his hand traveled up her leg.
“Oh, umm...yes, sir,” Josie said when Janice began to giggle, then she slammed the door and they could hear her footsteps retreating down the hallway.
“Reggie, that was terrible,” Janice said, gasping as his hands began to explore her body. “Now Betty is going to yell at her.”
“I’ll make it up to her later,” Reggie said, his body responding to Janice’s sigh of pleasure.
After kissing Janice goodbye in the hallway, he left her in Josie’s capable hands with a searing kiss that was full of the promise of what was to come, then made his way downstairs. Now that he’d solved his problems with Janice, nothing seemed impossible, and while he’d lain watching her sleep, the solution to the clan problem had become clear to him, but he was going to need a lot of help.
