‘cause he’s your baby daddy?”

“Connor is an exceptional human.” Warmth spread through my chest at the thought of my Marine husband. “Not just in bed, but who he is.”

“You’re no help.” Jeanie dismissed me and turned to Miriam. “What do you say?”

“Sex with shifters is one-thousand percent better,” she grinned. “But all the humans I’ve fucked have been mediocre. I’ve never had anyone exceptional to even the odds.” She squeezed my knee teasingly.

“Talk louder, why don’t you? So the guys at the bar can hear us,” I giggled, watching one of them straighten up and casually look over his shoulder.

“Does the animal play any part in it?” Jeanie asked. “Like, do predators like it really rough? Mel, does Raz shoot fire out of his—”

“Jeanie May!” I gasped.

“It’s just a question!”

“N-no, he doesn’t,” I stammered, equally out of laughter and embarrassment.

“Here’s what I want to know.” Miriam bit the corner of her smile. “Does he have tattoos down there too?”

“Um, yeah.” My face grew uncomfortably hot. “And piercings.”

“I knew it!” She pounded a fist victoriously on the table.

My sister’s eyes widened. “How does that feel?”

Part of me wanted to sink into the floor. The other part couldn’t resist the smugness spreading across my face.

“Intense, but really, really good,” I said. “When the angle is just right, the uh, friction is just explosive.”

“I need to have Colt get one of those,” Miriam sighed dreamily. “Gabe would never, but I bet Colt would be down.”

“Okay, now it’s easy for us to jump on Mel since she has such variety.” Jeanie leaned across the table. “But Miriam, tell us all about what it’s like to fuck a couple of wolf brothers. In excruciating detail, please.”

Miriam chuckled, the perfect image of coolness and confidence as she swallowed her drink. “It is so. Fucking. Good.”

“Details, woman! I said details!”

“Colt is the suave one.” Miriam leaned back in her seat. “He’s charming and flirty. So damn passionate. He doesn’t hold anything back. Gabe?” She paused to suck her lip between her teeth, pondering on Hunter’s youngest brother. “He can still be kind of closed off just day-to-day. You know, moody and kind of sullen.”

“Because he doesn’t like humans?”

“He didn’t use to,” Miriam corrected. “He’s come around a lot, especially since the wedding. But in bed, he’s…” she smiled, her mind off somewhere else. “He’s such a teddy bear. He’s cuddly and sweet and affectionate. Outside the bedroom, he can be so guarded but when we’re intimate, it’s like he can let all of that go and just be with me.”

Jeanie and I let out an, “Aww,” together. I thought of my own gorgeous, sweet-natured wolf. Hunter had his own struggles with not only humans, but his dual nature of being attracted to men and women. It was so beautiful to see his and Raz’s relationship bloom alongside our own.

“What’s something shifter men bring to the bedroom that human men don’t?” Jeanie was like a gossip column reporter. I half-expected to see her taking notes at any second.

“They’re definitely not as selfish, for one thing,” Miriam scoffed.

“They’re very…” I searched for a word. “Instinctive? Like they’re so in tune with everything—sounds, smells, body temperature and breaths. All those little subtle changes when you feel yourself getting close to orgasm? They know it right as it’s happening.”

“Totally agree,” Miriam nodded. “Even before the sex actually happens, they know. I can just walk outside, see Gabe cleaning up after a hunt and think, damn that’s hot. Next thing I know, Colt is grinding on my ass and whispering he can smell how aroused I am.”

“Fuck. Me.” Jeanie fanned herself.

“That’s Arjun with me,” I laughed. “He loves to mess with me when I’m caught up watching Hunter and Raz make out. He can usually get Conner roped in too.”

“You lucky bitches.” Jeanie shook her head. “I’d love something like that, but you know.” Her eyes slid over to me. “Before Connor whisked us away, I thought good men didn’t exist. I’m still not sure if they do, since y’all have snatched up six of them.”

“There’s someone out there for you, sis.” I clasped her hand. “Maybe even multiple someones. But you are so young—”

“Yeah, I still got my whole life ahead of me. I get it.” She waved a hand in my face. “It’s a good thing though, because now I know what healthy relationships look like.”

“Exactly!” I beamed at her. “And we won’t let you settle for less than you deserve. We have an army of claws and teeth at
