Angel Fever (Immortal Legacy #3) - Ella Summers Page 0,82

anyone else.”

“We are unbreakable.”

“Now and forever more.” His hand stroked down the side of my face.

My body burned. My breasts were supple and swollen, my legs quivering with desperate, excruciating longing.

Damiel had hardly touched me, and I was so close to losing it. To tipping over the edge. I guess that’s what two centuries of abstinence did to you.

He swept me into his arms, carrying me across the room and up the stairs.

A bedroom waited for us there. And an enormous bed. Made of at least a dozen different types of wood, it nearly filled the entire room.

“I don’t need to ask what you planned on doing in here,” I chuckled.

“I planned on ravishing my wife again and again, until neither of us could get up again.” His gaze slid down my body. “And if you can still tease me, I haven’t done a sufficient job of seducing you.”

He climbed onto me. His fingers caressed my arms, drawing them over my head. Then his hands slammed down and chained my wrists to the bed. I arched up, rocking my hips against him.

“Too many clothes,” I said, my voice breaking.

With angelic quickness, he remedied that problem. The rest of our clothing now lay in a messy pile on the bedroom floor. And Damiel loomed over me like a giant tiger, his eyes dark, almost feral. His muscles tensed, ready to strike.

“Better?” he growled against my throat.

His kisses trailed down my body, between my breasts.

“Much better,” I gasped.

A sudden jolt of pleasure hit me as his fingers pinched my nipples to hardness.

“Good.” He grabbed my hips and pushed my legs apart. “Because I’m determined to make our reunion memorable for you.” His mouth was lower now, teasing the inside of my thigh. “And make you forget all about that ‘sexy beast’ Colonel Beastbreaker.”

His hands rounded my butt, tilting me toward his mouth, which closed over me…

I screamed out.

His tongue teased my soft, tender flesh. His fingers rubbed deeper, harder. I thrashed on the mattress, a writhing mess, stripped bare of all thought and reason. There was only Damiel and I—and the white-hot inferno raging unchecked through my entire body, consuming me like wildfire.

He pulled back just far enough to look upon me.

I couldn’t see anything but Damiel, and I grabbed at him, desperate to feel him inside of me. The wait was torture. And still he just leaned over me, his eyes drinking in my suffering. And doing nothing at all about it.

So I did something myself.

I grabbed him around the waist and rolled. Now his hands were pinned to the bed. And his body was trapped under mine. He was at my mercy.

Still holding to his wrists, I arched my back, long and languid, like a cat stretching herself out. Slowly, I slid myself up his hard torso, relishing in the delightful friction as our two bodies rubbed together.

“Stop.” A groan rumbled in his chest, buzzing against mine. “Unless you want me to stop playing nice.”

“Playing nice?” I laughed. “I have you completely pinned—”

With a sudden burst of power, his hands broke free of my grip, and he flipped us over before I knew what was happening. Now, I was trapped.

“Not pinned.” He smiled down on me, looking very pleased with himself.

“Yes, your martial prowess is very impressive.” I struggled against his hold—to no avail. “Now let go.”

He leaned down and whispered against my lips, “I told you, Princess. I’m not ever letting you go.” He released my body just long enough to drape my ankles over his shoulders. Then his hands were back to pinning my wrists, as though he were afraid that I’d disappear if he let go.

“I’m not going anywhere,” I assured him. “You’re mine, and I’m yours.”

“Forever,” he said, sliding slowly into me.

Pleasure bloomed inside of my body. I cried out. For too long, I had been without Damiel. For too long, I’d been incomplete.

“Cadence.” My name broke his lips. It was a growl, a plea, a demand—all wrapped into one.

His movements quickened, growing impatient. Desperate. I tilted my hips toward him, matching the rough rocking of his body, drawing him deeper inside of me. We moved in perfect harmony, two bodies joined by love, magic, and destiny. Every thrust sent a flash of heat deep into me, branding me, body and soul. Pleasure consumed me, wave after wave crashing, drowning out the past two hundred years of desolate loneliness. We were together now—one—and nothing would ever tear us apart.

Our thoughts and feelings melted together. I surrendered
