tighter with each thrust of his shaft. She held her breath as the tension grew more unbearable, and it was only at his gentle insistence that she breathe that she expelled the air in a long whoosh.
She wasn’t entirely sure what was happening, but she knew she didn’t want him to stop. She kept her legs locked around him and arched to meet his demanding thrusts.
His muscles rippled beneath her mouth. His scent grew stronger, more intoxicating. She licked, catching the sheen of sweat that glistened on his flesh then bared her teeth to bite him again.
“No,”he said hoarsely. “Honey, if you do that I won’t be able to stop. You first. Let me take care of you.”
So she took his mouth instead, kissing him fiercely as she dug her heels into his back. Then she turned her head away, baring her neck for him as she spiraled out of control.
He pressed his lips softly to the spot just below her ear and then nipped hard, holding her with his teeth.
She went liquid around his thick, pulsing shaft and then simply exploded. Shattered. She fell apart in his arms and blinked in bewilderment when she couldn’t focus her vision.
Sweet, unending pleasure flowed like rich honey through her veins. She shuddered and gripped him tightly, alternately pushing and pulling as her release became nearly unbearable.
She became aware of him stilling within her and of his hands smoothing over her face and her breasts, soothing her as he murmured reassurance.
For several long moments, he lay over her, kissing her and nibbling delicately at her jaw and lips. Finally her vision cleared enough so that she could see him looking at her. She blinked in confusion, and he smiled tenderly.
“Hi,”he said huskily. “You okay? No, don’t move,”he said when she started to shift beneath him.
Her entire body hummed, throbbed almost painfully. He leaned down to kiss her again, and he tentatively moved inside her.
She sighed in contentment, liking the weight and fullness of him. Gradually he picked up his speed, his hips meeting hers. His eyes closed, his jaw grew tight, and then suddenly he pulled out of her.
“Move down,”he rasped out, tugging at her hand.
She scooted down the bed as he moved up her body toward her mouth. His hand slid behind her head, cupping the back of her neck and pulling her up to meet his thrust.
She opened her lips to receive him, reveling in the shock of hard, male flesh filling her mouth. After the second thrust, warm saltiness spilled over her tongue, and she swallowed as he sank deeper.
He towered over her, so strong and muscular, his hand gripping her head as he held her to him. His fingers flexed at her nape, and she marveled at how strong he was and yet how restrained he was, how careful he was not to hurt her.
Slowly he lowered her head down to the mattress and moved to the side, taking her with him and into his arms. She went willingly, curling against his chest, wrapping her arms around him to hold him as tight as he held her.
He kissed the top of her head. “Okay?”he asked again.
She smiled. “Very okay.”
Chapter Eighteen
The next weeks followed a predictable course. The days were spent with the cougar in front of the fire until she shifted back to human and went shivering into Hunter’s or Jericho’s arms.
At night, she and Jericho made sweet love in front of the fire, their shadows transposing erotic images on the wall. And though she couldn’t always see him, Hunter watched from those shadows. Sometimes she left Jericho’s arms to find Hunter waiting. He took her into his bedroom and mated with her with such urgency that it was like lighting a wildfire inside her body.
She had learned much from these two men, but she also had good instincts for what pleased them. Yet, despite the fact that that they’d made love to her together the first time, neither had made an effort to make it happen again.
Why it was so important to her, she wasn’t sure, but even when each made such sweet love to her separately, she felt she was missing a vital part of herself. She wanted—needed—both of them to complete her.
Tonight, the two men sat in the living room with her as they watched the glow of the embers in the hearth. It was the perfect opportunity to appeal to them both.
She rested in the crook of Jericho’s arm, her head pillowed on his broad
