color, taste and smell and even my hearing seems sharper. His hands settle on my head, fingers gently threading through my hair. “That’s it, baby,” he hoarsely whispers. “Just like that. So damned perfect.”

My confidence quickly builds under his soft encouragements. He talks me through licking and sucking him, using my hands on him, until he finally grabs me under the arms and effortlessly hauls me to my feet to kiss me.

“No more right now,” he murmurs against my lips. “I need to get you home and into my bed, where you belong.”

Chapter 11

Tiberius completely takes charge, grabbing a washcloth and tenderly scrubbing every inch of my body before washing himself.

A guy could definitely get used to being pampered like this.

I only hope he wants to keep pampering me. Surely he’s got lots of guys panting after him. Why would he want someone like me?

At this point, I don’t even care. I want Tiberius, he seems to want me, and I refuse to give up the chance to sleep with him even if it can’t possibly lead to a long-term relationship.

Once that’s finished and we’ve both rinsed off, he towels me dry first, making me blush with his attention, and kissing me when he unerringly senses I’m feeling self-conscious.

That’s when something hits me. “Why aren’t there any mirrors in here?”

He shrugs. “To save money. People aren’t using these suites to look at themselves.” When he smiles, any follow-up questions I had float away under the strength of his blue gaze.

Instead of putting his suit back on, he balls it up and shoves it into his bag, which somehow ended up in the room with us. From that same bag he pulls a pair of jeans and a black, short-sleeved pullover. He helps me get dressed and then sends someone a text on a phone that looks pretty darned pricey.

Smiling, he pulls me in for another kiss. “Close your eyes, baby.”

As if it’s a command, they fall shut. I couldn’t keep them open if I tried.

“What’s going on?”

“Nothing. Just for a moment.”

I feel a rush of air and hear music, people, the metallic clang of a door slamming shut behind us, then he speaks.

“Okay, baby. Open your eyes.”

I do, and they widen in shock over finding myself sitting in a fancy car. “What—”

“You dozed off, baby. It’s all right.” He pats my knee. “You were practically sleep-walking.” He smiles and whatever doubts I had flee like dead leaves in an autumn breeze as he starts the car. “We’ll get your car tomorrow evening.”

“I don’t have one.”

He scowls. “How’d you get here?”

“Ride share service.”

“And you were going to go home like that tonight?”

“Or walk. I—”

“You should take a nap, baby.” I don’t understand why he looks upset, but when I next open my eyes, we’re in a garage and he’s once again smiling. “There’s my boy.” He leans in and kisses me. I struggle not to climb into his lap right there. I might, if it wasn’t for my seatbelt holding me in place.

Heck, I don’t even remember fastening that.

Tiberius gets out and circles the car to help me out. “You don’t have any roommates, or anywhere to be, Saturday. Right?”

I nod. “Right.”

This is the smile I know is my undoing, wide and bright, completely untroubled. “Excellent. Let me show you around. I will sleep during the day, and I’ll warn you now, I usually sleep pretty deeply. You might even think I’m dead, because I won’t wake up, but that’s just me. If you wake up before me, leave the shutters down and don’t leave the house. All right?”

I find myself nodding. “Yes, Sir.”

That earns me a kiss. “So perfect, baby.”

He grabs his bag and takes my hand to lead me into the house and down a hallway to a bedroom. It doesn’t feel… lived in, though.

He opens the master bedroom closet and ushers me in, closing the door behind us.

“Um, Tiberius—”

He presses a button and an audible click makes me turn. The back wall swings open, exposing a set of stairs.

“What’s this?”

“I’m very security-conscious,” he says, motioning for me to go first.

I’m still staring. “Isn’t this how horror movies start?”

“The button’s here.” He shows me. I never would have found it without his guidance, it’s concealed so well. “If you come upstairs before me, close the door. Let yourself back in like that.”

“Okay.” With a deep breath, I head down and he follows me. Downstairs is a large, luxurious suite that definitely feels lived in. It’s tidy, but from the
