Work Me Good - Ali Parker Page 0,88

could feel his heart pounding as he caught his breath. “I want to ride you until neither of us can stand.”

“I’m game.”

He laughed next to my ear. “Not in here. Not like this. Another time.”

“Nash, don’t you dare leave me hanging like this.”

He laughed again. “Baby, there is no way I’m leaving either one of us unsatisfied. I was just giving you a minute to catch your breath.”

“I’m good.”

“So demanding,” he said and stood behind me once again. “I like it. I like a woman who knows what they want and how they want it.”

“I want it hard, Nash. Right now, I want it hard.”

His hand reached into my hair and gently pulled. I rose up from the desk and looked up at the ceiling while he gave me exactly what I was asking for. I hoped like hell the cleaning people weren’t on the floor. I couldn’t stop the cry of ecstasy that escaped my lips.

When we were both sagging against the desk with him still deep inside me, I began to see a problem. It was hard to see it when I was in a haze of lust and desire, but every time I got to this side of things, I saw it clearly.

“Nash?”

“Hmm?” he murmured.

“We can’t keep doing this,” I told him.

He stood up and pulled away from me. “You keep saying that and then this keeps happening.”

“We have to stop it from happening.”

“Okay,” he said nonchalantly.

“What? Okay? That’s it?”

He handed me my panties. “What would you like me to say?”

“I don’t know but that didn’t feel right. Don’t you think it’s wrong?”

He shrugged and shook his head. “I think I’m a grown man who likes having sex. You’re a grown woman who likes having sex. Why can’t we do that together?”

“Because we work together.”

“It’s not like we’re banging in the breakroom in the middle of the day,” he countered. “When we’re working, we’re working. There’s never been a moment during work hours. It’s after hours and releasing a little pressure after a long day is natural. I’m sure it’s encouraged.”

“I suppose, but I always feel so guilty when we’re done.”

He disposed of the condom in some tissue paper and zipped up his pants. “Not me. I feel good. I feel sated. I feel like I could run a marathon.”

I rolled my eyes. “You’re not getting it.”

“I get it, but I’m just not reading into it as much as you are. We had consensual sex, big deal.”

I had to let it go. I was going to talk myself right into an anxiety attack. “Fine. It’s forgotten.”

“Wait, I never said forget about it. I said it isn’t a big deal. You don’t have to worry about it.”

“I won’t. You’re right.”

We finished dressing and cleaned up the dinner. “I should probably get home,” I said.

“I think I’m going to give everyone a half day tomorrow,” he announced.

“What? Why? They’ve been doing so well.”

“Not as a punishment. I want to reward them for kicking ass. Isn’t that what a good boss should do?”

I smiled. “Yes. Rewards for good work are exactly what a good boss should do.”

“Then I’ll make the announcement before lunch tomorrow,” he said.

“Really? You’re really going to let everyone go home early?”

“Yes, is that so hard to believe?”

I laughed. “No offense, but with you, yes. You don’t exactly encourage slacking.”

“No, and because I don’t, they’ve worked hard and got us ahead. I’m not a total barbarian. I can recognize good work when I see it.”

“Then good for you. They are going to be thrilled. They might even forgive you for taking away the breakroom treats.”

He smirked. “I’m not trying to earn forgiveness.”

I stepped close to him and patted his chest. “Try not to be such an ogre. You can still be a happy man and an effective boss. You don’t have to go around growling and snapping at everyone.”

“I don’t do that and I’m not an ogre.”

I kissed him before stepping away. I had to step away. Breathing in his scent and touching his hard body messed with my brain. I was going to end up getting naked with him all over again. “Okay, maybe not, but I did hear someone call you Shrek the other day.”

He looked absolutely stricken. “What? What the fuck? Why? Is that an insult?”

It was cute to see him get so upset about being compared to a real ogre. “It’s term of endearment,” I lied.

“I’ve changed my mind. They don’t deserve a half day.”

“Don’t be a bully. It was a joke. Although
