Gigi thought he’d never looked sexier. “Hey, you. You’re early.”
“Just a few minutes,” he said, glancing at his phone. “You said noon, right?”
“Is it that late already?” Skyler exclaimed. “Holy shit. I’ve got a Zoom meeting that starts in two minutes. Gotta go.” He quickly hugged Gigi and added, “I’ll email you the contract. Don’t be afraid to let me know if something doesn’t sit right.”
“Okay.” Gigi hugged him tightly and whispered, “Thank you.”
“No problem, sweets.” He winked and rushed to his office in the back of the store.
Gigi turned to Sebastian. It had been a couple of days since she’d nearly killed herself trying to yoga, but her potions and creams had worked, and she was feeling as good as new. Sebastian was there to pick her up so they could head back to their hometown and see if they could shake any information loose from the people who still resided there. Gigi had gotten so caught up in her new business opportunity, she’d almost forgotten she was expecting Sebastian at any moment. “I guess time got away from us.”
He chuckled. “Isn’t that always the case when it comes to you and Skyler? Are you ready to go?”
“Just one minute. Joy is still looking for a dress. Let me tell her I’m leaving.” Gigi moved back toward the dressing rooms with Sebastian following her.
“The store is looking really good,” he said.
“It’s gorgeous, isn’t it?” Gigi glanced over her shoulder, smiling at him. “I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
“Oh, are you going to work for Skyler?”
“Not for, with. In fact, I have a contract I need you to look over later if you don’t mind. Skyler is going to stock my potions and skin care line.”
“I’d be happy to,” he said. “And congratulations. It sounds like you’re excited about it.”
“I am.” Gigi stopped when her eyes landed on Joy standing in front of a three-panel mirror, looking like a goddess in the beaded gown. “Holy shit, Joy. You look like a movie star in that dress. You have to get it.”
“I was going to right up until I saw this.” She bent her leg, making it peek out from a slit in the skirt that was just about waist high.
“That just makes it better. Sexy as hell. Right, Sebastian?” she asked the man behind her.
He cleared his throat. “The lady isn’t wrong, Joy. I’m sure Troy would be proud to escort you to the gala in that.”
“As long as you don’t plan to wear see-through panties and have a wardrobe malfunction, then I don’t see the issue,” Gigi said, frowning at her. There was no way Gigi was letting her friend leave without that dress. It was just too perfect for her.
“Look at this!” She moved the skirt aside and pointed to her thigh. “I can’t let any of those Hollywood types see my cellulite!”
Gigi squinted at her leg, trying to make out any dimples in her skin. “I’m not seeing it. And aren’t you the one they wanted to use for an underwear ad? I don’t think they see what you see.”
“Ugh.” She pulled the skirt back over her leg. “It’s not terrible, but I just noticed it while I was looking in the mirror. If a photographer gets it on film, I will be mortified,” Joy said, sounding a little panicked.
“Get the dress. I’ll take care of the cellulite.” Gigi rummaged around in her purse until she found the small jar of cream that Joy had passed on from Carly Preston. “Use this. It works. I know because I tried it a few times, and Carly is a genius. You’ll be fine.”
“Are you sure?” Joy asked, her face lighting up. “It really works?”
“It did for me. Smoothed my thighs right out. Since you barely have any cellulite, I think just a dab will clear it right up for you.”
“Thank you.” Joy tucked the little jar into her palm and reached out to hug Gigi. “I’m really glad you came to town.”
Gigi chuckled. “Thanks. But I think the person you need to thank is Carly. Tell her I think it’s great and if she wants me to try anything else out, I’m happy to do it.”
“I will.” Joy glanced at Sebastian. “I guess you two are ready to head out?”
Gigi nodded. “Yep. We’ll be gone for a few days. I’ll call you when we’re back, and we can set up a time for the coven to meet. Sound good?”
