run in shifted form.
It had been fucking outstanding. Of course, the three of us mostly stayed in the backyard, no forest to sprint through like back home, but it had been fun sprinting along with their bright red and pink forms.
Dylan had gotten a picture of three of us, his smile contagious.
Luca had just kept telling me how adorable I was. Until I bit his finger hard enough that it had bled. Then the look he’d offered me had been entirely scorching.
Hunter had seemed to relax for the first time since I met him and I’d jumped up onto his lap, licking his face until he let out a chuckle.
It had been a perfect afternoon following such an emotional revelation.
The weekend had gone by entirely too fast but at the end of it, I had not only a skulk that would always be there if my family needed them but had reconnected with my real family. I’d gone back home with my mates feeling like I was floating.
It was a very similar feeling right now. Floating.
The past three days since my family arrived, the party last night, to the wedding ceremony today, I’d been smiling so much my face actually hurt. I hadn’t felt even a moment of uncertainty while getting ready as my sisters, Lena, and my mother helped me get dressed. I had kept my wedding dress simple, a soft silk material that clung to my body, as I walked barefoot down the garden aisle towards my mates. Despite it being a bit of a pain in the ass to wait, it had been completely worth it to organize my dad being able to walk me down the aisle. It had been so special to me and him.
The only thing that had made me more emotional? Turning to face my mates and finding them staring at me with such an intense level of affection that it had made me tear up. Which had made Dylan tear up slightly, talk about adorable.
Luca had been staring at me with wide eyes seemingly more emotional than I’d seen him yet.
Hunter couldn’t stop smiling.
Throughout the ceremony, all three of them standing around me as the local coven leader married us, I continued to look up into each of their faces promising to be with them until the day we died. I had practiced my telepathy enough that when it came time to say my vows and make my promises; I was able to project throughout everyone’s head at the ceremony causing happy gasps to ring out. When the coven leader officially married us under the eyes of the Maker, I’d enthusiastically kissed each one of them, drawing claps, whistles, and laughs. What? I wasn’t about to hide how I felt.
Legally in the human world, I’d be married to Hunter, but no one really cared about the human world in Willowdale Village. This place was special, and I was proud to call such a unique location my home.
Following the ceremony was when the real party began. I realized I’d never been to a shifter party like this one as I watched everyone drink too much, laugh their asses off, and celebrate our union. It was absolutely marvelous to watch.
Hunter was behind me right now, his hand wrapped on my hip as he and Luca talked about something.
My eyes were on Dylan though, who was talking to my father, both of them laughing and relaxing. I could have never expected how well my dad and my mates got along. I mean I was thrilled, but Maker, sometimes I felt like he was more excited to see them than to see me! I smiled, nearly shaking my head at that.
My mom was talking to Fleur and Lena. The first had instantly bonded to Lena and I think it in part had to do with her love for baking. Fleur wanted to be a chef one day and so she looked up to Lena who ran her own business so successfully.
Then there was Bexley. She was like a blaze of fire all on her own. Passionate and full of excitement. I had been correct on their age, both of them were seventeen and going into their senior year of high school.
Something I was eager for them to finish… because they were coming out here following their senior year! I know! I was thrilled and my parents had been actually fairly easy to convince once the girls came up with the idea. I think in part it
