touch was intoxicating to me.

My thoughts drifted as the forested path before us twisted and turned. I felt my eyes widen as a warmly lighted wooden gate with two guards opened to let us through. Now, I’d been on my fair share of trips and travel, but this was by far the nicest residence I’d ever seen. It almost felt like one of those camp resorts.

The thick pine forests, the dark wood cabins in the distance, and the main house were filled with warm glowing lights. I swallowed nervously as he pulled up into a hidden garage. My nose instantly took in the many new smells around me. It was still raining outside, so that was by far the most dominant scent besides the leather scent that my mate carried with him.

“This is beautiful,” I admitted as he led me towards an enormous doorway that opened up into a gleaming kitchen. The dark wood cabinets and pale marble counters were exquisite. It was almost exactly from my Pinterest board for my ‘dream kitchen’ actually. My hands traced the counters, and I was able to peek into a few rooms as Luca gave me a quick tour of the place, promising to show me more in the morning. That was perfectly fine with me. I had one goal right now.

I wanted to see my other two mates.

I was also feeling a tad sleepy now that I was in the comfortable relaxing environment of their home. Luca had his warm hand on my back and it was making my eyes feel heavy and tired. See? This was literally the effect they had on me. It was ridiculous. I had mostly caught up on my sleep but there was still a part of me that was exhausted, constantly up all night thinking about them.

As we reached the second floor, Luca led me towards a large door that opened in the center revealing a dark living room suite with a roaring fireplace. I smiled seeing a massive bed with two passed out forms on it.

“We usually sleep separately but if you will be staying over that won’t be the case,” Luca commented quietly, making me smile without meaning to. What? They were like a big pile of puppies. Throwing caution to the wind, I shrugged off my coat and shoes, breaking away from him to crawl into the center.

Whether they realized it or not, both Hunter and Dylan moved closer, somehow touching me and making my fox sigh in relief. Yeah. I had a feeling I wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon. The last thing I saw was Luca taking off his shoes before I gave in to the sleepiness.

She looked so perfectly at home and it fucking thrilled me.

I wasn’t positive how long I stood in the doorway, just taking a moment to register that she was here. That I finally had my mate. Something I had honestly forgotten about, caught up in my life and everything I was responsible for.

After all, I had spent most of my life attempting to relieve the burden of my older brother’s responsibilities as much as possible. At least when it came to anything outside of Alpha related stuff.

Dylan was far better at handling issues within the pack because people generally liked him better, so he tended to work at Hunter’s side. I did what I was good at - learning. Whether it was gathering information about members of our pack or researching local shifter communities, information was considered my line of work.

I knew this town top to bottom and when I’d graduated in record time from UCLA undergraduate and then law school; I came back knowing that this town needed a lawyer. Well, this town needed a lot more than just a lawyer, but it was a start. Within a year, I’d opened up my own office but helped mainly when the bank ran into legal concerns or contracts. The supernatural community rarely used human legal laws, but there were times when humans were involved, often with the nearby city of Galena. So, I always made sure to cover all possible ground.

Now that we had our mate I was especially pleased with the line of work I’d chosen. While we hadn’t talked extensively about her past, a million questions about her parents, and the way they raised her ran through my head. I had gathered that she didn’t like her parents. Well, that alone seemed a bit of an understatement. I’d also gathered that her parents
