UnHinge Me (Savage Beast MC #6) - Hayley Faiman Page 0,62
thumb and jerking it toward the building. “But around back. Ana lives there. She’s under our protection. She ain’t a whore, not an Old Lady either, just protected by us.”
“Oh,” I breathe.
“You’d be safe enough in that clubhouse, but the way you look, with that bit of damage lurking in your eyes, every man in there would try to tame and claim you.”
“Mountain told me…”
Bones barks out a loud laugh. “I’m sure he told you everything. But he told you a bunch of shit he don’t understand. I don’t need to tell you anything at all, Leighton. If you need something, in any capacity, just ask.”
Pressing my lips together, I look from the building to him. “Cages, is it true?” I ask.
His lips curve up into a sly smile. “It is. Everyone is there willingly. My woman wears a collar and stays naked in a cage when I’m not home, or she did before the baby came. She’s my slave, but it’s her peace, it’s what she enjoys. She can leave any time, so can the women in that building.”
“How old are they?” I blurt out.
Bones’ eyes darken right in front of me. He leans forward and reaches out, wrapping his hand around the back of my neck. He doesn’t pull me close to him, but he has my attention, one hundred percent of it.
“They are all women, all over the age of eighteen. I don’t believe in pedophilia, Leighton. I don’t believe in abusing the innocent. Every woman in that clubhouse, every woman in a cage, she’s there because she gets off on it. Maybe she was abused at some time in her life, but that shit stopped the second she walked through my doors.”
I want to say something, but I don’t know what. Maybe he’s brainwashing them? Maybe they really do want to be there. I don’t know, and I’m not sure if I ever want to know. I’ve seen enough in my life, that maybe I just need to try to unsee some of the ugly in this world.
“The abuse stopped, Leighton. They have control here. My men are the big strong ones, the ones who met out pain and pleasure, who appear to be in control, but those women, they have ultimate power over us. You would have that too, if you wanted it.”
Licking my lips, I inhale a sharp breath. I shake my head, which only causes him to chuckle. “Let me take you to your new place then, to Ana.”
Hurrying behind him, I wonder if I made the right choice. Maybe I jumped the gun a little? Maybe I overreacted? Wrinkling my nose up, I shake my head.
Fuck that.
I didn’t overreact. He expects loyalty from me, made a big deal about it, and he can’t even keep his dick in his pants for a few days? He can’t even call me and pretend, lie to me? I’ll put up with a lot, especially since I know he can be really nice, but I have no real ties to him other than the fact that he saved me from the cruel fate my father had planned for me.
I was at peace with the fact that he wouldn’t stay loyal to me forever, I mean, I watched another woman suck his dick. But, this whole situation, it just rubbed me the complete wrong way. It just felt really wrong.
If he thinks because he rescued me that I somehow owe him everything, that he can do as he pleases, and treat me like shit, he’s sadly mistaken. I’ll take a lot from someone, from him, more than I ever should, but that isn’t something that I’m willing to accept anymore.
Never again.
Love, lust, or my savior—doesn’t matter.
A small modular home appears and I smile. It’s so typical that it’s almost funny. Bones walks up the wooden porch and I watch as he lifts his fist and bangs on the door. It doesn’t open immediately, but when it does, I blink.
There is a man on the other side, but he’s not just any man. I recognize the patches on his vest. He’s one of Mountain’s men. Shit. His eyes flick past Bones and meet mine. I expect him to frown, but instead they curve up into a grin.
“Nice,” he rasps. “I’ll be heading out, Ana,” he calls.
I watch as he walks past Bones, but makes his way straight toward me, only stopping when he’s directly in front of me. He’s so close that I have to tip my head
