UnHinge Me (Savage Beast MC #6) - Hayley Faiman Page 0,51

out a low laugh. “Like fucking reality.”

Without another word, I turn from him and walk out of the office. Rich. Not just rich, but rich as fuck rich. Most would say she deserves the money. She was raised in Hell by the Devil himself.

But what I know about Leighton so far, she isn’t the type to be able to live with herself if she used that money. She won’t take it, not even with as tempting as it assuredly is and me? I’d rather watch it burn.

Walking into the bar, I stick to the side of the wall, taking in the room and finding her exactly where I left her. I don’t know what it is, or why, but she’s special. I’m not in love, probably never will be, but I know a good thing when I have it, and Leighton is good.

She’s broken just like me, but in a different way and I like that she’s not perfect, no matter how fucking perfect she looks on the outside. She looks up as Pinkie slides into the seat next to her. She offers her hand and they introduce themselves to one another.

I haven’t told Leighton who Pinkie and the other women are here, what they are, but she probably already has it all figured out. Leighton senses someone watching her, she slowly turns her head, her eyes finding mine and her lips curve up into a grin.

Pushing off the wall, I make my way toward her. I need to be inside of her again. Fucking her against that wall, fighting with her afterward, it wasn’t enough. I need more. A whole fucking lot more.

LEIGHTON

Pinkie slips away from me. She seems nice, though I’m not sure how I feel about her being a whore. It shouldn’t bother me, wasn’t I the same damn thing? What does bother me is that she’s touched Mountain though, that’s what has me twisted up, and it’s stupid, because I just saw some bitch with her mouth wrapped around his dick.

He makes his way toward me, stopping when he’s close enough to touch. I want to reach out, to feel his skin, his muscles, his warmth, but I don’t. Instead, I hold my breath as I lift my gaze to meet his.

“Pinkie is good people. Don’t matter much about anything else, just know, she’s good. She ain’t jealous, never could be. She’s here for a purpose, and nothing more.”

“Okay,” I sigh.

He dips his chin a bit more and grins down at me. “Let’s go up to my room, babe.”

Licking my lips, I lift my hand and place my palm against the center of his chest. “Are you going to feed me later? Pretty sure maybe I deserve a little dinner?” I ask.

In reality, I couldn’t care less about dinner. My stomach, on the other hand, needs sustenance, especially since Mountain’s stamina is out of this world. It’s sexy as shit, just like him.

“I’ll feed you, babe,” he says, his voice dipping low, rumbling throughout my entire body.

My lips twitch into a small smile as I slide off of the barstool and stand in front of him. Tipping my head back, I continue to look up into his pretty dancing dark eyes. Sliding my hand up his chest, I wrap my fingers around the side of his throat.

“Your president told you about the money,” I whisper.

Hopefully, it doesn’t ruin the moment, but I need to know. He jerks his chin in a semblance of a nod. “Yeah, he did,” he rasps.

“And?” I ask.

He hums, not saying anything immediately. Instead, he closes the distance between us, his head moving closer as his lips touch mine. I melt into him as his hand slides around my hip and cups my ass. He grips me tightly, his fingers digging into me over my shorts.

“And nothin’, babe. You wanna take that money and go?” he asks.

“No, no way in hell,” I snort.

His lips curve up against mine and his tongue slides along them, tasting me. “Good. That’s the end of that then, no sense in harping on it. You’re not going anywhere, I’ll be back in a month, then we’ll get everything else figured out.”

I want to believe that something magical will happen within that month. That he’ll come back here and know without a doubt that he loves me or something equally fairy tale-like. But, I’m not an idiot, and being a dreamer only gets you so far in life.

The cold hard reality is that he will probably never love
