Tripping (Iced #2) - Kristine Allen Page 0,83

hang of this parenting stuff, so be patient with us and remember we love you.”

Bleu’s fingers feathered through my hair, and she gently pressed me tighter to her body.

“I love you,” she choked out. Sitting back on my heels, I stared up at her. The curls that fell over her shoulders seemed to blaze like fire in the light. My wife was easily the most beautiful creature in the world, and sometimes I couldn’t believe she loved me.

“I love you too. Maybe more than hockey,” I teased, and she laughed.

The End.

I dedicated Hooking to Nick Caamano because he is an awesome young man. This one I dedicated to Tyler Seguin because dang near everyone has seen those abs. Whew! Yet it’s not simply the abs that won him the dedication. In every interview I’ve seen, he’s humble, sweet, and human. That I appreciate more than looks.

Thank you to all the hockey players in the Stars franchise, both NHL and AHL, for feeding my hockey obsession. Go Stars!

Thank you to my readers who keep giving me a reason to write and hit “publish.”

Thank you to Pam Schultz, Kristin Youngblood, Brenda Keller, Lisa Brown for being my betas and letting me bounce ideas off you at all hours of the night. You gals are my rocks. I couldn’t do this without you.

Kristine’s Street Team! Here’s your shout out! Y’all mother-freaking rock! Especially my top promoters, Whynter, Pam, Chasity, and Stephanie. You ladies go above and beyond for my books and I cannot thank you enough. All the love to you!

Olivia, the forever bomb-diggity of editors, you are the best. Even though you’ve ruined reading for me at times, I love you to pieces! Thank you for fixing all my oopsies, calling me on the stuff that doesn’t make sense, questioning my wording, and for fixing all those pesky commas that I hate. You turn my books into the polished beauties that they are by the time they hit the readers’ hands!

Penny. My beautiful forever friend. Thank you for always believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. <3 Every time I tell you how good things are going and you tell me you’re not surprised, I want to cry. Your faith in me is eternally humbling. You got this nursing school business!

Lisa and Brenda, y’all are the best and I cannot thank you enough for your support, advice, and friendship. And wine. To think it all started with a lunch born from the love of books. 2020 Book Signing events may have went to shit, but we’re still doing our thing! Always with wine.

Reggie Deanching of RplusM Photo, this image of Jonathan is gorgeous! I’m so glad we had the opportunity to work together. Here’s to many more of those times in the future. *high five* With the help of Jonathan Bosas’s fantastic image, I like to think we made magic. Jonathan, thank you for blessing me with your beautiful image for this cover! I can’t tell you how perfect it was for this character. ☺

Stacey of Champagne Book Design, never forget—you are a goddess. You are the wizard behind the curtain, blowing the socks off my readers when they crack open my books. Every single time, you amaze me. Thanks bunches, and we’re having champagne on the beach this year because guess what? Gonna see you at Shameless! And I’ll be there as an AUTHOR! Can you believe it?

Ladies of Kristine’s Krazy Fangirls, you guys are my personal little cheerleading team and I love you all! I thank you for your comments, your support, and your love of books. Come join us if you’re not part of the group www.facebook.com/groups/kristineskrazyfangirls

This time I wasn’t able to spin the military into the storyline, but I thank them none-the-less. I feel compelled to do this often because the military has had such a huge impact on my life. From being a military brat, to a military spouse, and then working as a nurse in the military system. With that being said, my last-but-never-least is a massive thank you to America’s servicemen and women who protect our freedom on a daily basis. They do their duty, leaving their families for weeks, months, and years at a time, without asking for praise or thanks. I would also like to remind the readers that not all combat injuries are visible, nor do they heal easily. These silent, wicked injuries wreak havoc on their minds and hearts while we go about our days completely oblivious. Thank you all for your service.

Kristine Allen lives in beautiful Central Texas with her adoring husband. They have four brilliant, wacky, and wonderful children. She is surrounded by twenty-six acres, where her four horses, five dogs, and six cats run the place. Kristine realized her dream of becoming a contemporary romance author after years of reading books like they were going out of style and having her own stories running rampant through her head. She works as a night shift nurse, but in stolen moments, taps out ideas and storylines until they culminate in characters and plots that pull her readers in and keep them entranced for hours.
