I was certain about one thing, though: she knew her shit. Rafael and Joel were right about that. I never should have underestimated her for being young and being a woman.

And I felt more confident after she made me catch grounders for an hour. Hopefully that confidence translated to my bat.

I tried to get some work done, but it was an effort in futility. The only thing I could think about was Darryl Bryant and the rough, passionate way he had fucked me in the locker room. I stared at my laptop screen in my office and replayed the entire thing in my head. I had just fucked the famous Darryl Dingers. And it was better than I ever could have imagined.

Rafael was right: Darryl just needed some convincing before he came around.

I wished I could tell someone about it! It felt like having lunch with Tom Hanks and being forced to keep it a secret. I didn’t have a lot of girlfriends, and had lost touch with most of them over the years. I couldn’t just call up Cynthia out of the blue and brag about banging the first baseman for the Texas Rangers.

No, I didn’t have a lot of people I could talk to these days. Usually the person I went to was my dad.

I had talked to dad about boys before. Not in great detail of course, but he had been a good shoulder to cry on after several of my breakups. I had always been comfortable telling him anything and everything, and never being judged for it.

But this felt different.

Deep down, I knew it was because he would tell me it was a bad idea. Joel, Rafael, and Darryl were my coworkers. Two of them I coached directly. Heck, I was responsible for their careers! If roles were reversed and it was a male coach taking advantage of a female colleague…

The role-reversal seemed ludicrous, though. The three of them had mentioned the idea to me, not the other way around. Plus they were rich, famous athletes. I certainly didn’t feel like I was exploiting them in any way.

In fact, the only thing I felt was satisfied with the wonderful sexual ache in my lady-parts that only came from a really good pounding.

I drove to the ballpark earlier than normal the next day to catch up on the work I had avoided last night. A night game was on the schedule, so I had a huge chunk of time to get everything done. By the time the players started trickling into the clubhouse I was totally caught up.

“Hey!” I called when Joel and Rafael walked by. “Can I talk to you? Both of you?”

They glanced at each other and walked into my office. “What’s up, coach?”

I hesitated. Even though I had made the decision to be totally honest with them, the words wouldn’t form in my mouth.

“I… Well, what I want to say is…”

“You and Darryl?” Rafael suggested.

I blinked. “You know?”

“Man, of course we know,” Joel replied. “Darryl told us as soon as he got home. Had a big smile on his face and everything.”

“Were you afraid to tell us?” Rafael asked, with a quizzical look on his face. “Even though we were the ones who suggested the whole thing?”

I shrugged awkwardly. “I don’t know. This is all new to me. I’m still getting used to…” I lowered my voice. “…used to sleeping with more than one of you at the same time.”

“So was it good?” Joel asked.

I laughed at the blunt question. “I was raised not to kiss and tell.”

“No, I mean… are you cool with it? Now that you’ve been with Darryl, are you good with the whole arrangement? Because if you decided you didn’t like him, and just wanted to be with us, that’s totally cool too.”

I smiled. “It was very good.”

“Woah, hey, no need to brag,” Joel joked. “Darryl’s better than us in bed. I get it. We’re second fiddle.”

“Well, duh,” I said. “Like that old commercial from the nineties said: chicks dig the long ball.”

Rafael laughed. “That’s a load off my mind, then. Now I can focus on my start today. Warm-ups before the game?”

“I’ll be there.”

The two of them grinned and walked away. They were clearly happy and excited about the whole thing, which in turn made me happy and excited.
