Author’s Note
This story is one I hadn’t really planned on writing. However, so many people asked about Dawn and Blake after reading my short story, The Dragon Play, that it made me wonder if I should tell it. And then I couldn’t stop thinking about them and decided a short novel would be a good fit for their story. There’s not as much angst or drama, and yet their story deserved to be told, too. It also introduces Daisy Chadwick to my main Stonefire readers. She’s important and will play a big role in the Stonefire Dragons Legacy series I have planned for when all the kids are grown up. (I have to finish this timeline, first!) She will help with a monumental change in the human-dragon world down the line.

The next Stonefire story will feature Hayley Beckett (the solicitor/lawyer in Treasured) and Nathan Woodhouse (IT dragonman you’ve met a few times in the series), but I need to write at least one (or maybe two) more in the Lochguard series first. I will definitely write The Dragon Collective (Lochguard #8) in 2021, about Cat and Lachlan. As for the rest, make sure to join my newsletter to keep up-to-date on upcoming releases!
