The Tracker Hive Academy Year One - Avery Song Page 0,81
one that came furnished would be manageable."
"Handy," I complimented. "Meet me at the entrance of the girls’ change room then." I winked. "And make sure the lights go back on."
He snapped his fingers and the struggling lights returned to full brightness.
"There."
"Sexy." I winked.
"You make it hard to not give in to you."
I kissed him and pulled away. "No one said you couldn't give in already. You're the stubborn one in the relationship." I playfully winked and turned away, beginning to skip to the change rooms.
"Make sure no one sees you like that."
"Okay, Daddy," I called out, turning around to blow him a kiss before skipping away.
I had to call him that in bed. I could only envision all the whipping and ass slaps that could go along with the pleasurable torture.
Yup. Zeus is as dangerous as Zeke. I love it. Imagine a threesome with them? Hmm. I should ask for an apartment for Christmas. No, a house with a spell to make sure we don't break anything with our elements. All the sex we could have. How delightful.
Entering the change room, I got to my locker and thanked myself for having two spare sets of clothes.
Let me shower real quick. We did have a sweaty class and training session.
Stripping out of my clothes and wrapping a towel around my body, I closed my locker and headed to the showers.
The lights began to flicker until they went completely out. I pouted my lips, wondering if my steaming kiss with Zeus was the cause of it.
"Zeus?" I called out. The room was silent, but it didn't give me any sense of relief.
Someone is here.
Tightening the towel that cloaked my nakedness, I began to walk further into the shower area, my eyes scanning the room. I caught a glint of something shiny, and I stared at the specific shower stall.
The curtain was pulled back, allowing me to see that it was empty, but something was on the floor that caught the reflection of one of the flickering lights.
I flinched when the watch on my wrist began to vibrate, the screen turning on and off. With a slow inhale, I closed my eyes and got serious, opening them again with every intention of killing whoever was here.
I called to my ice element and an ice stake morphed in my hand, the bits of thunderous charge from my kiss with Zeus still pulsing through me and surrounding the ice weapon.
Reaching the stall, I knelt down to pick the broken mirror piece.
I stared into my reflection, noticing my black eyes were now red.
"You still live without regret."
I looked over my shoulder, trying to identify the voice that spoke, but it didn’t come from a specific direction.
Those words are echoing through my own mind. Shit.
"Not the time or place, hallucinations," I grumbled, looking back to the mirror.
"Is that what you think I am? A hallucination?"
"That's what you always have been. I think you’re afraid to come out of that hidey-hole of yours. Worried I might kill you?"
The voice chuckled, the irritating sound swarming my head and the entire shower area.
"Jade. How long are you going to keep running? You're guilty as charged. Why don't you end it here and now? It would be best for both of us. You’d get to face judgment for what you did, and I'd enjoy my hidey-hole. I deserve at least that, don't you think?"
"Stop talking rubbish." I walked away to the open showers, giving up with this hallucination.
The watch had stopped vibrating, but I kept it on. It was waterproof so I'd be able to shower no problem. I waited to remove my towel, unsure if I felt safe to do so.
Closing my eyes, I whispered, “Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday, dear Jade. Happy birthday to me."
I sang the song over and over again, the melody slowing my speeding heart rate.
It was one of the few songs from therapy that got through to me, and though it brought back the memories of that fateful day, I’d rather experience that than deal with the hallucinations of that man.
Opening my eyes, I realized the lights were back on. With a frown, I looked back into the mirror, noticing the pure black orbs that looked back at me.
I didn't freak out, though I kind of wanted to. My pure black eyes were normal when Shadow Jade took over or when I was casting a dark elemental spell.
Problem was I wasn't doing a spell, and Shadow Jade was napping.
