really growing hot, and it wasn't because of the weather.
"Nope," he answered.
"Where?"
"Hotel. We could go to my place, but it's far and our family home won't give us the privacy I think we deserve."
"What if our elements act out?"
If Zeus and I could cause the entire school to have a blackout with our kiss, I could only imagine what my heated connection with Zeke would brew.
"There are special suites for that."
"You did your research."
We ended up kissing again, but it was short.
"No wonder Zeus was nagging me."
We turned our attention to the familiar voice, noticing Zackery's approach.
"Hey, Zackery," I greeted.
"It's always interesting to actually be identified correctly by someone," he replied. "Hey, Jade."
"Tell Zeus I don't need babysitting," Zeke replied to Zackery's main statement.
"Oh, I'm not here to babysit. I was originally here to test this prototype." Zackery lifted his wrist, showing off a device that looked similar to an Apple watch. "But then he was complaining about his gut instinct telling him a certain brother was being all touchy with our Jade."
"I love how ‘we’ have a claim on her yet you three haven’t even told her seriously that you're into her," Zeke mumbled.
Zackery stopped in front of us, his eyes showing his moment of clarity.
"Shit, we didn't. Hmm. I thought that was an obvious conclusion." Zackery glanced to me, looking sad. "Sorry, Jade. Did you think we were leading you on?"
"Not like that," I admitted. "It was more of feeling worried about whether you all wanted to date."
"We're serious about that." Zackery looked me straight in the eye. "I can vouch for the other two, but if you want, I can text them now."
"You don't hav—"
Zackery was already pulling his phone out and tapping his thumbs against the screen. "Zion should answer in less than fifty seconds, and Zeus will most likely ignore me."
"Why fifty seconds?" I glanced at Zeke, who chuckled. "Zion and text messages is like dropping food on the floor and giving yourself the five-second rule to pick it up."
Zackery's phone pinged, and he smirked. "Zion's perfectly fine with it," He displayed his phone to us, allowing me to scan the last message he sent and Zion's response.
SMART BROTHER ZIZI:
"Wasn't that always the agreement? I like Jade. She's intriguing, different, and hot. We're all attracted to her. Don't see the problem. If we break it up by percentage, we're all at equal footing. As in you, Zeus, and I got 20% and Zeke got 40% because he's a selfish motherfucker. Anyway, tell Jade we're chill with dating her. As long as she doesn't mind. Whatever she wants, she'll get. Now hurry back. I have my tournament to go to."
Zizi? A cute nickname for Zion.
"I'm not a selfish motherfucker," Zeke grumbled next to my left ear, peering over my shoulder at the text. "I do deserve forty percent."
"Selfish as fuck." Zackery shook his head. "He's giving you that percentage because he doesn't want any more of your fantasies leaking into our heads."
"Fantasies, huh?" I repeated.
Zackery groaned. "I swear, they're detailed as fuck. Just be a writer or something and write books about all these fantasies you have. Poor Zeus can't stand them. It makes him want to do impulsive stuff."
Was that why he couldn't help but kiss me after the confrontation last week at lunch?
"I really doubt Zeus is going to reply to me," Zackery groaned.
"It isn't that urge..." I trailed off when Zeke pulled his phone and tapped it to speed dial. He placed it on speaker, the dial ringing twice before Zeus picked up.
"Fuck off."
"Can you pause your masturbating session for a second?" Zeke asked.
"I'm not—you know what? There's no point in wasting time on you. Why are you calling? If it isn't urgent, as in the world is ending, or about Jade, I'm hanging up."
My heart fluttered lightly at his mention of my name, rating me on the same level as the world's end.
"Can you let Jade know that we're in agreement about all four of us dating her?"
"Wasn't that obvious or did Zackery fuck it up somehow?"
"I didn’t do shit!" Zackery argued.
"Sure. You probably contributed to the miscommunication somehow," Zeus groaned. "Tell Jade we're in agreement since we agreed to work together on figuring out the school situation. Besides, if we're the bees to her Hive, we're more than happy to enjoy her loving nature in many ways."
My cheeks began to flush, finding the hidden meaning in his words.
Something tells me all four of them are going to be interesting in the
