The Tracker Hive Academy Year One - Avery Song Page 0,35

damaged the classroom earlier by sending OUR brother through the wall!" the middle dude declared. I was intrigued at how the fire element was strong enough to start tinting their skin color, reminding me of aliens.

Was that why they were so huge? Maybe they had a lot of milk when they were young, so they could grow into 6'7" assholes. Wait...milk...isn't that for boobs? Hmm. I wonder.

"Actually, just to correct you guys, your brother was the one who broke the wall of the classroom first. Therefore, he destroyed the property prior to me throwing him through the classroom in self-defense. He wouldn't have been a problem if he hadn’t tried to throw a rock at me." I lifted my hands up to stretch, giving them an innocent look.

"You interfered!" the guy on the far right accused.

"My original thought was to exact revenge for the wonderful painting that got destroyed...again, but the nerd dude informed me that there were more replicas of its beauty in storage. I walked away after that, seconds before your brother threw a rock and declared his intention of 'picking a fight with me.'" I used my hands to make air quotes. "To make things worse, I'm an innocent new student who hasn't even started class yet. Do you think it's very smart to be fighting against me without collecting the facts?"

The three of them were shaking in anger, but they couldn't say anything.

"Ah. From your silence, I can safely assume your dumb brother came crying to you that I, a brand-new student, who just so happens to be the daughter of the headmaster, had apparently interrupted his fight, embarrassed him in front of his peers, and destroyed his honor? What a shame to be caught in a web of lies."

I lifted my hand to my side, slowly gesturing to the Maxwell brothers. "You know what's more embarrassing? Causing a fight with the other four new students who weren't even present during your brother's fuck up. Makes him and the three of you look like douchebags, right?"

With a long sigh, I turned around. "Seeing as I've pointed out yours and your brother's flaws, why don't we go our separate ways? I'll finish off this tour by showing these guys were the change rooms and lockers are. You guys can go to the office and pay for the damages caused, and we can all pretend such madness never happened. Deal?"

Taking note of their ongoing silence, I grinned. "Awesome."

With my hands in my pockets, I began to skip away. "Let's go, Trouble Four."

"That's it?" I heard Zackery comment.

"I feel they're thrown off by Jade's personality," Zion admitted.

"Nope," Zeus grumbled.

"What do you mean, ‘nope?’" Zackery asked.

I reached the entrance hall to the change rooms, stopping to wait for them to catch up while I listened to their conversation.

"They had no choice," Zeke elaborated.

"No choice?" Zion asked.

"When you have a nice, sharp ice sword pointing into your back and earth vines wrapped around your ankles, it would be rather foolish to try and pick a fight after 'talking' like civilized students," Zeke explained. "I'm impressed."

"Wait, hold on. What?" Zackery looked at me. "What did you do?"

"You think that whole tornado diversion was just for protection?" I questioned.

"Um...yes?” Zackery replied.

"You were shooting out power balls," Zion added.

"Distraction," Zeus acknowledged, moving up to stand in front of me. "With the earth element, you were tracking their every move above the surface while summoning those ice swords and keeping them hidden far up in the air where no one would look.

“When you snapped your fingers, you dispersed the tornado and powerball attacks you were sending all over the place, but you activated the vines to keep them in place and the ice swords gathered at their backs. You wouldn't see if you were facing their fronts, but if you peered behind them, you would have noticed the ice swords embedded with light magic."

"If impaled by those swords, those guys would be on a nice light high for days," Zeke added. "And they would most likely forgive and forget about the whole ordeal in the first place."

"Wow." Zion nodded. "Smart."

"Doesn't that mean you basically used all the elements in one session?" Zackery questioned.

"Almost," I replied. "I did use the water in the air to create the ice swords at a faster pace."

"That means you really do have all eight elements and used them simultaneously!" Zackery accused.

"I never used my dark element," I noted.

"She has a point," Zion acknowledged.

"Me!"

I looked over my shoulder to see Shadow
