Their Forever - Chloe Kent Page 0,20
out of control and love him fiercely since that moment.
The next day after his birthday which she had ruined, she had gone back downstairs to look for the heart-shaped stone she had given him. She searched high and low, up, and down, her heart sinking with every moment that passed, and her search proved futile.
She could never bring herself to ask Liam if he saw it, and at the end concluded that it might have been sucked up in a vacuum when the cleaning staff had done their very early morning routine.
Liam had taken up residence in a spare bedroom, and she ate her meals alone after that night until she couldn't take it any longer. She had done nothing wrong as far as she was concerned, and after another lonely dining experience, she had taken her plate with her, and filling another, she stepped into his study, placed his plate in front of him and sat down to eat from her own in complete silence.
That night she took her pillow with her and had padded her way to one of the many guest bedrooms where he slept. She got in between the sheets and slept well for the first time in days. If he didn't want her to say those words to him, it was okay, but he couldn't control her feelings as far as her love for him went.
That night he had grabbed her and pulled her beneath him and fucked her until walking the next morning had proven a difficult feat. He had filled her body with his cum over and over, reaching for her during the night more times than she could count.
Nine months later she still whispered those words to him, so softly he'd never hear them. And yet again, Liam Stone intrigued her. He was too complex a man for her limited worldly experience. He fascinated her on every level. And now he'd brought a new chauffeur into their lives, and something told her there was more going on than she knew.
Why Kade Tremayne? Why him?
Chapter Five
While she had waited in anticipation for Liam's punishment regarding her rudeness to the new chauffeur, it hadn't happened. Instead, he had come to bed rather late from being in his study all night, held her tightly, and fell asleep.
She knew better than to think he had forgotten her misdemeanor or that he would let her punishment slide. No, he was keeping her on edge, and it was driving her mad.
Also, she hadn't slept very well. Her dreams were confusing and unsettling. Little images would burst forth from the disarray of her slumberous thoughts of Kade slipping her panties into his pocket. Images of the erotic film they watched unfurled behind her closed eyes even while buildings were burning all around them. She jerked awake to find the morning sun streaming into the bedroom when suddenly she realized she had been the woman in that film in her dream.
Her heart thudding painfully in her chest, she sprang up from the bed and stepped straight into a cold shower, pulling at her hair as the water soaked her skin. She had to get a handle on her thoughts, or she was going to lose them all.
She felt uneasy, edgy, angry, and confused. It was all Liam's fault. By him deliberately withholding her punishment, he was magnifying everything to do with Kade.
A spanking, he had said, was cathartic. She would be punished for her infractions, and it would serve as her penance, and they would never bring it up again. She loved every bit of the whole concept. And that was what she needed now.
The longer he put off punishing her, the longer Kade would infect her mind, and she needed desperately to erase him from her mental existence forever.
She hoped, too, it would be enough to quell her questions about him and his relationship with Liam. It was none of her business. But there was a familiarity there, subtle, and discreet that said they had history. He also didn't have the stature for being a chauffeur. He carried himself way too arrogantly, with a lazy nonchalance that screamed a couldn't-care-less attitude. Why would Liam hire someone like him, who didn't seem to take authority seriously, yet there he was, their new chauffeur. And since Liam hardly used a chauffeur, preferring to drive himself around, she was ordered to never leave the house without one.
John was retired from the army and had doubled up as her bodyguard as well, apart
