Sweet Curves (Sweet Enough to Eat #2) - Mila Crawford ,Aria Cole Page 0,12
with her but I knew she needed the space to get her mindset ready.
As I drove to her apartment I kept thinking about a visit to her parents. Everything I knew about her mother made me a little uneasy. The woman was a class-A snob. Katie’s family had fallen into money. Her dad had invented some gadget that became a hit with farmers all across the United States and worldwide. Apparently the money had gone to her mother’s head, and she became obsessed about fitting in with socialites. I didn’t really remember her mother that well. Every time I’d suggested studying at her house Katie would freak out and make up an excuse. Now it made sense. I hated that her own mother made her feel so embarrassed and ashamed. I knew what to do if it was some guy, I would punch the shit out of him. But her mother--this was a situation I had a hard time with.
As I pulled up to her place, Katie was already waiting for me outside, a small suitcase packed beside her. One of the things that I loved about Katie was her practicality. We were going for a weekend and she packed accordingly. Most girls would have brought so much luggage that it would take up the trunk and the backseat.
I jumped out of the car and hurried towards her, pulling her in my arms and kissing the pink lipstick right off her lips.
“You’re a site for sore eyes, sweet cheeks. It was hard getting to sleep last night without you in my arms.” A heart-stopping smile formed on those full, pouty lips and my dick throbbed in my pants.
“I missed you, too. Now let’s go before we get stuck in traffic.”
“It’s one in the afternoon, we won’t hit traffic.” I grabbed her suitcase and put it in the truck beside my duffle bag.
“It’s New York. There is always traffic here.” I opened the door for her, taking her delicate hand in mine and making sure she was seated. Once she was in the car I bent over buckling her in.
“You know I can put on my own seatbelt, right?” She said, looking at me with a slightly annoyed expression.
“I know, baby, but I like to make sure that all my valuables are tucked in nice and tight and you are the most precious thing in my life.” I winked, closing her door and heading to the passenger side.
“Why are you so weird about me driving anywhere? I never pegged you for a sexist.”
“I’m a man, and I think a man should drive a woman around. It’s not sexist. It’s old fashioned. Sexist is expecting you to give up your career when you have my kids.”
“You don’t expect me to do that, do you?” She asked, a look of sheer horror on her face. A loud roar of laughter escaped my lips.
“No, baby.” I said, taking her hand in mine. “I want you to be happy. You career is a big part of you. Asking you to give it up would just make me an ass. I want to be your partner not your owner. I just want to drive, pay for dinner, carry your bags, and open your doors.” I kissed her cheek, stopping at her ear, “I also want to lick that pretty pink pussy on a daily basis.”
“Oh! I brought nourishment!” Katie grinned, pulling out a plastic food container from her oversized handbag.
“I was wondering what you had in that thing.”
She opened the container, pulling out a bag full of fruit and one full of nuts. “Which would you prefer?”
“You’re a world famous pastry chef and you’re offering me that?”
“I’m not risking anything. My mother smells sugar from a mile away.” She shrugged, taking a carrot stick out of the bag and waving it in front of my mouth, I took a bite, before taking it into my hand.
“I really don’t understand how she can put this much pressure on you.”
“It’s just her way. My dad is pretty amazing, it kind of balances her judgmental nature out.”
“I guess I should be happy that you are following my meal plan,” I said, eating my carrot like a good boy. “Well, something good came out of these carrots.”
“Oh, what’s that?”
“I’m gonna need to eat you, a lot. I need to get my sugar, somewhere.” I loved watching her beautiful face turn a perfect blush pink at my words.
“You’re crazy.”
“Crazy for you, baby.”
