Strung Tight (The Road To Rocktoberfest #1) - Ann Lister Page 0,61
see the excitement sparkling in his eyes. “You want to see the inside of the bus?” I asked him, already knowing the answer.
“Fuck yeah!” he exclaimed. “Let’s see what kind of amenities this bitch has!”
We bounded up the stairs two at a time and met all the other guys in the living room. The sitting area was huge with two horseshoe-shaped couches and a couple of recliners. An entertainment center with a sixty-inch flat screen television was at one end and a wet bar at the other. A galley kitchen was on the other side of the wall that had the wet bar, and a hallway beyond the kitchen had two sleeping bunks on either side. The bathroom was a decent size with a roomy shower, and a large master bedroom occupied the entire end of the bus.
She was a beauty. Forty-five feet long and nine feet wide with wood and leather accents everywhere. I couldn’t wait to hit the road in this beast on wheels. I also couldn’t wait to christen the bed in the master bedroom with Dallas, which I happened to be eyeing when he nudged up to me in the hall.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Dallas whispered against the shell of my ear.
I turned my head to him and shamelessly grinned. “I’m ready when you are,” I said.
I glanced around and noticed everyone was preoccupied with gawking at the features. Some were checking out the kitchen and bunk spaces, a few were surfing through the channels available on the television. I turned back to Dallas and smiled thinking at how we could be on a crowded bus and still be alone with ourselves. I stepped closer and pressed his back to the wall just outside of the master bedroom and covered his mouth with mine. It was done completely in the moment for no other reason than a need to feel him against me.
What had started out as a chaste kiss soon turned hot enough to melt the clothing off our backs in a matter of a few seconds. It wasn’t like we were groping each other or pulling at each other’s clothes. All we were doing was enjoying a very heated kiss.
Still, I jumped back to the opposite side of the hallway when Dixon came out of the bathroom and gasped so loudly after seeing us that he attracted the attention of a few roadies who were hanging out in the kitchen area.
“Jesus fucking Christ, Fletch!” Dixon yelled. “When the hell did you slip over to the dark side?”
I pushed my fingers through my hair and forced a grin to my flushed face. I was about to say something snappy when Mike stepped into the hallway.
“What’s the matter, Dixon?” Mike asked. “Do you have a problem with two guys making-out?”
“Well, it’s just not my thing,” he explained.
“Have you ever sucked a dick?” Mike pushed.
“Of course not!” Dixon said indignantly.
“Then don’t knock something you haven’t tried,” Mike said, and he started to walk away.
“Are you implying you’ve sucked a cock?”
“More than a few,” Mike admitted, “and I loved it each and every time.”
I was the one who gasped that time. I couldn’t believe Mike was outing himself at this particular moment. It was almost as if he was speaking his truth while trying to spare me from having to do so by putting the focus on himself.
“You’re gay?” Dixon asked with a shocked expression creasing his face.
“Technically, I’m bi, which makes me an equal opportunity lover who gets twice the action,” Mike said and laughed, then caught my eye and nodded before he turned to walk off the bus.
We watched him leave, and then Dixon turned around to face me again. “So, you’re gay?” he asked.
“Nope, I’m bi, just like Mike,” I admitted out loud, and damn, it was feeling better every time I said the words.
“Jesus, am I the only one in this band who isn’t bi or gay?” Dixon questioned me.
“Well, I can’t speak for Potter—or you, for that matter, so I think it’s just Mike and me,” I said and held out my hand out for Dallas to hold before I led us through the living room and off the bus. I couldn’t believe I was holding Dallas’s hand in full view of everyone, but it just felt natural for me to do so. I saw the raised eyebrows of the roadies as we passed by and the shocked look on their faces, but I kept on walking. Like I said before, I
