Strung Tight (The Road To Rocktoberfest #1) - Ann Lister Page 0,35

a set of decorative, curved wooden stairs, and Dallas started moving in that direction; then, I glanced out through a glass panel on the front door one last time and saw Griffin finally getting into the front seat of the SUV to leave. Knowing I was now alone with Dallas had my stomach rolling with nerves.

I unlocked the front door to my apartment, and when we stepped inside the kitchen, I was thrilled to hear the silence, which meant Mike hadn’t had a change in plans and come home instead of going out to the clubs. I pulled open the refrigerator as Dallas shut and flipped the lock on the door. The click of the deadbolt seemed to echo around the quiet space as did every intake of breath I drew into my lungs. It was times like this when I realized just how loud silence could be. Christ, I could hear the ticking of the big wall clock that hung in the kitchen for fuck’s sake.

“Want a beer?” I offered.

“Yeah, sure,” Dallas said and stepped beside me.

The light inside the fridge lit his face, and his smile was so damn sexy. I wondered if I was the only nervous one here. Then again, Dallas had been with guys before, so this wasn’t uncharted territory for him like it was for me. I passed him a bottle of beer, and he pressed a quick kiss to my lips before he thanked me. The pad of his thumb ran over my bottom lip, and then his eyes met mine.

“Don’t be nervous,” Dallas whispered. “It’s just you and me here, and I’m fine with hanging out on your couch. Nothing more than that needs to happen.”

His admission calmed me, and I leaned forward to lay another kiss on him, but this time I had more confidence behind my actions. I set my beer on the counter and wrapped him up in my arms to kiss him right. I loved it when he opened up for me and the muffled sounds of pleasure that escaped his mouth made my knees weak. Best part, I could already feel his erection rutting against mine.

I used my foot to kick the refrigerator door shut and walked Dallas backward while I continued to suck on his tongue and lips like he were a Thanksgiving feast. I directed him through the kitchen and then down the short hallway to my bedroom on the left, the whole time our mouths never came up for air. Mike’s bedroom was on the opposite side of the hall. There wasn’t a lot of privacy to be had when we were both at home, so I was extremely grateful to have the place to myself tonight without having any fears of what noises might filter out into the hallway.

Dallas didn’t waste any time at all looking around at the contents of my room, not that there was anything all that great to look at besides my guitars. His eyes only seemed to check for a bed, and then he reached for me with both hands cupping my face.

“We left our beers in the kitchen,” I pointed out.

“Are you really interested in a beer break right now?” he asked in between nipping at my lips.

“I’m far more interested in your mouth,” I confirmed with confidence I didn’t really possess.

“Feels good, doesn’t it?”

My arms drifted around Dallas, and I pulled him against me. The buzz I had from the shots of tequila backstage had mostly faded, but my entire body was still singing, this time with endorphins from being pressed close to his. I was becoming so addicted to his touch and his lips that I couldn’t get enough of him.

Dallas’s fingers began to lift the hem of my t-shirt, and I raised my arms for him to pull it over my head. He reached behind his neck, grabbed a fistful of his shirt, and tugged it off. We crashed together a second later, and the heat of his mouth was on mine again. The soft swirls of hair on our bare chests created a blissful friction I’d never experienced before. The sensation made my skin tingle and sparked nerves to life that I didn’t know I had until it felt like I’d burst into flames.

His kisses were so hot and wet with his tongue lapping at mine and then sucking it into the heat of his mouth. I groaned from imagining what it might feel like having him do that to my aching cock.
