So Gone - By Jennifer Luckett Page 0,51
was making it up.
"I'm serious, Blunt."
Now the car was creeping up beside us. I looked over and saw Fabian hanging out of the passenger door of the car pointing a gun at us. "Blunt, watch out!" I screamed before diving to the floor.
Tat! Tat! Tat! The gun fired off.
Blunt mashed the gas pedal and blasted through the red light. I raised up long enough to see Blunt make a left down the first street we came to. The car was trailing behind us. I dropped my head again.
In a few seconds, Blunt had sped down the street going every bit of ninety. I prayed that no kids were in the street because I knew Blunt wasn’t stopping. More shots rang out. The back window exploded in a spray of shattered glass.
I screamed.
More shots pelted the rear of the vehicle. I used the palm of my hands to cover my face. My adrenaline pumped while I trembled on the floor of the car hoping that I’d make it out of the situation in one piece.
A Beast Unleashed
Blunt
I bent a corner on two wheels tryna escape the fusillade of gunshots that riddled my whip. At the same time, I snatched my strap from my waist and prepared to go G style. I knew that my Glock couldn’t stand up to the choppa that the nigga was bustin', but I wasn't going down without taking him with me. Boc! Boc! Boc! I bust back over Mo’s terrified screams.
At the last second, I bent another corner shaking my pursuers. I mashed the gas and hoped I didn’t attract the po po’s. I could hear the scream of their sirens in close proximity.
“Bitch nigga can’t kill me! I’m a fuckin’ beast! You hear me?” I boasted. Mo' was trembling like a lone leaf on a tree limb in the middle of a windstorm.
“Let me find out you tried to set me up!” I put the burner to her dome. Then just as quickly as the thought of Mo' doing something foul like that entered my mind, it went away.
Shawdy wouldn't do me like that.
“Nigga caught me slippin’, but now I'm back on point. I'ma serve that ass, you can bet that. You hear me, Mo'?"
She wouldn't respond; she stared straight ahead with tears running down her face.
"What, that shit got you shook? Would you feel safer with Rocco? Oh, I'ma deal with that ass too. The next time we bump heads, I ain’t gonna be drunk, and I ain’t gonna give a damn that he’s my big homie. Nigga violating by getting at you anyway. So you tell him that I said one of us getting fitted for a coffin next time we meet.”
“Blunt, why do you have to act so crazy? Can’t you just let go? I don’t want anyone to get hurt over me,” Mo' cried.
I pressed my finger to her forehead. “Well you better tell me you ain’t leaving. Cause I don’t give a fuck, I’ll take yo’ life before I see you wit’ him.” I could see the fear in her eyes.
“Would you really kill me, Blunt? What happened to you loving me and wanting to see me happy? Remember when you told me that? Well, I’m no longer happy with you, and I just want us to go our separate ways.” She cried.
“Look me in my eyes and tell me you don’t want me anymore,” I challenged.
“Blunt, I no longer want to be with you,” she uttered, clearly and precisely.
“That’s cool. I ain’t no thirsty ass nigga. You can have Rocco, he ain’t built like me. I’ma show you that. I’ll see you at that nigga’s funeral. I should make you get the fuck out of my ride before I twist yo’ scalp!” I jammed on brakes and watched wit’ no regret as Mo’ climbed out of my whip and slammed the door.
I let the window down. “Mo’ get back in the car,” I yelled.
“Fuck you. I’m not getting back in the car with your loony ass. I’ll call a real man to come and get me,” she said as she walked up the interstate.
I looked over my shoulder for on-coming traffic. When the coast was clear, I jumped back on the highway and got ghost with no regrets. Now, I was bloodthirsty, somebody was gettin’ body bagged tonight.
Night had set in and all was quiet. I was posted up on the side of her house like a wino. The wait had already been over four hours but right then
