head back on my chest. “Now I don’t want to ask it because it was sort of a smartass question.”

“What is it?” I asked.

“No.”

“Memphis,” I called. “Ask me the damn question. If anything, I’ll have a smartass answer for you.”

She pursed her lips. “You said you would tell me anything, right?”

I nodded.

“So, what’s going on with the whole Leona and Menace thing?”

“Fucking hell, Memphis,” I moaned. “That is the one thing I can’t tell you.”

“Oh, come on! You’re the one who said you’re an open book,” she protested.

“I’m an open book to you. The club is not,” I clarified.

“But you are the club, so if you’re an open book to me, then the club should be also.”

I shook my head. “Nice try, doll. Not going to work on me.”

She huffed and pouted out her bottom lip. “Then I guess I’ll have to go with plan B then.”

“Plan B? What the hell is that?”

She looked up at me and smiled. “Don’t you worry your pretty little head about it, Six. You have the club to worry about, and I have plan B to worry about.” She tapped her fingers on my chest. “I guess you could say it’s sister business.”

“Sister business?” I laughed. “What in the hell is that?”

“I would tell you, but what happens with the sisters, stays with the sisters. You’re not a part of the sisterhood, Six.”

“You’re pulling my leg, Memphis,” I laughed.

She shrugged and snuggled into my arm. “Maybe I am, maybe I’m not. You’ll never know since its sister business.”

“Does this have to do with Raelyn?” I guessed.

She shrugged and yawned. “Hmm, good night, handsome. I’m pretty tired from our little workout.”

I flipped her onto her back and pinned her arms above her head. She startled and looked up at me surprised. “Lordy, man,” she laughed. “Give a girl some warning before you flip her over like a pancake.”

“Sorry, doll. I didn’t mean to surprise you.” Fuck. I had worked so hard for her to trust me, and then I went and did that shit? I was surprised she didn’t rear back and punch me in the face.

She reached up and brushed her fingers over my cheek. “It’s okay, Six. I’m not that fragile. You going caveman on me was kind of hot.”

“Even when I go caveman, you still have a choice, Memphis. You don’t like it, knee me in nuts.”

She reached down between us. “I’d much rather play with your balls than knee you in them.” She gave them a light squeeze. “Even when you go caveman on me.”

“You’re distracting me from this whole plan B thing,” I grunted.

Her other hand snaked down between us and grabbed my shaft. She stroked me gently and smiled. “I know.”

“You keep doing that, and you’re gonna have a situation on your hands.”

She smiled wide and leaned up to press a kiss to my lips. “I hope it’s a hard situation.”

Half an hour later, we landed in a disheveled heap on the bed.

“Glad I could take care of that situation for you,” Memphis yawned.

I gathered her in my arms and pulled the covers over us. “You can handle that hard situation anytime you want, doll.”

She hummed softly and drifted off to sleep.

Memphis was fully mine now.

Now I had to keep it that way.

I had thought she was pretty shy and reserved, but her latest antics and mention of a plan B that she wouldn’t tell me about proved that to be wrong.

Memphis was a sassy smartass, and I couldn’t help but love it.

“He’s not telling me anything either.” Raelyn grabbed the creamer and dumped a healthy glug into her coffee.

“I see you like a little coffee with your creamer,” I laughed.

Raelyn shrugged and put the creamer back in the fridge. “I can’t help it that it tastes good.”

“So does coffee,” I chuckled.

“Yeah, if you add creamer to it.”

I waved my hand and tried to steer the conversation back on track. I always seemed to have this problem whenever I talked to Raelyn. We tried to talk about one thing, and then, suddenly, we were off talking about ten things and never circled back to the thing we first started talking about. “Back to plan B.”

Raelyn nodded. “Hold on.” She looked around and nodded toward the back door. “Let’s go out here so none of these Bastard ears hear our plan.”

We quietly walked out the back door and sat in two of the patio chairs.

It had been two blissful weeks since Six-Gun and I had slept together,
