need to taste come, with the need to release too.

Alex had been a total slut in college, and he used every trick now. Cheeks, tongue, throat, fist—and Dave wove his fingers through Alex’s hair and held on until his body arched and he shot down Alex’s throat.

His orgasm triggered Alex’s own, in his shorts, and he came as he swallowed, the shakiness not getting any better.

He became aware of Dave’s hands in his hair, soft, tender, and of the fact that he couldn’t get his breathing under control.

“Come here, Baby Nurse,” Dave said gently.

Alex nodded and squeezed his eyes shut, pushing back up in the confines of the SUV and letting Dave pull him close, wrap long arms around his shoulders, and nuzzle his temple.

“You okay?” Dave asked, and the tears Alex had been fighting since he’d opened the first bus and seen all that blood took him over.

“Sure,” he said, but his voice broke, and then he broke, sobbing in this stranger’s arms while his spunk cooled in his shorts.

He tried to hide his face against Dave’s chest, but then he realized that Dave’s chest was shaking as much as Alex was.

And Dave was sobbing too.

They held each other until Dave’s watch went off, and he swore softly. “We are a fucking mess,” he said, his throat tight.

“I’ve got jizz in my shorts,” Alex mumbled, because it had been sitting, cold and yucky, against his skin as their crying jag eased.

“Do you have extra scrubs and shorts?” Dave asked. “Like, in your car?”

“In my locker,” Alex said. And they both paused. “How am I going to get through with… oh my God.”

“Here, baby. I’ve got clean scrubs and shorts with me. You can wear them and return them tomorrow.”

Dave twisted and pulled extra clothes from a bag down by the front, and the next two minutes were filled with awkward fumbling as the two of them got undressed and redressed in the damned SUV.

“Return them tomorrow?” Alex said as he pulled up the briefs, which fit just fine—Dave was taller than Alex, but Alex apparently had the fuller ass.

“You off tomorrow?” Dave asked, wriggling into his own scrubs.

“No, but I thought we could, uh, maybe come in together tomorrow.” He paused and looked Dave in the eyes.

There were still tears in his lashes, and Alex reached out and wiped his cheek with his thumb.

“After,” he rasped, “you know, we spend some more time together.”

Dave smiled slowly. “Not just one and done?” he said lightly.

Alex shook his head. “I… hell, I’d like dinner at the very least.”

And that smile just got wider. “Dinner I can do,” he said softly. He reached out and rubbed his own thumb under Alex’s wet cheek. “You seem like a pretty sweet guy. I bet we can find something to talk about.”

“I bet we can.”

Jackson’s First Stay

PAIN AND drugs and pain and fear and pain and… wait. Jade and Kaden and Rhonda. Good. He liked those people.

And pain and drugs and pain and fear and pain and… “No!”

He thought he was screaming, but what came out of his throat was more like a kitten’s whisper.

“Shh, Baby Cop” came an almost familiar voice. “You are not sleeping, are you?”

“Can’t sleep,” Jackson whispered. “What if they know?”

“Mm.” There was a soft touch on his brow. “What if your cop friends know you were wearing a wire?” the voice asked. “Given that only your family seems to be happy you’re alive, I’d say they know.”

Jackson groaned. “Where are they?” He knew they’d been there. J and K had his back. Always had.

“Well, you’ve been here for about two weeks, son. They probably went home to worry some more. You’ve been giving the whole world fits, do you know that?”

“Jade and Kaden and Rhonda,” he muttered. “All I got.”

“Well, you got me. Nurse Dave, remember?”

Jackson remembered now. The young nurse who’d been kind to him when he’d come to check on Kelly Cruz.

“You’re my nurse? Thank God. Probably the only reason I’m alive,” he said, meaning it. The guy had a sharpness about him; Jackson had trusted him to do his job right.

“Well, there’s a few decent health-care professionals here,” Dave said, that ever-present snark in his voice. Jackson liked him. “Just—” He lowered his head. “—watch out for Dr. Scheideman. He tried to give you a colostomy bag when your lower intestine is probably the most intact part of your body. He’s dumb, and he’s in charge. So you ask for me, or ask for Alex—you know, little
