Rocker (Cerberus MC #13) - Marie James Page 0,86

that she craves my orgasms as much as she craves her own, but we still haven’t had sex. It’s been the best torture, a daily battle at restraint, and when we do finally come together that way again, it’s going to be epic—not that the time we spend together isn’t.

“We’re supposed to be having lots of sex. Childbirth will be easier for me if I’m stuffed with cock on a regular basis.”

“Woman,” I growl. “Quit talking like that, and while you’re at it quit believing everything you read online.”

Her lips twitch, and she knows exactly what she’s doing. She knows it doesn’t take much to get me revved up. Does she honestly believe that I don’t want her coming on my cock as much as she wants it? She’s crazy if that’s where her mind is at.

“We’re going on a date.”

“I hope it’s to that new Indian Restaurant. I’m dying for some curry.” And she can switch it off like a damn light.

“Spicy foods give you indigestion,” I remind her.

“Worth it.”

I laugh. She doesn’t show much restraint around food these days, but I still rub her stomach and grab her Tums when she starts hurting. Jinx tried to put his foot down, telling her she couldn’t eat certain things because they make her miserable, and all that did was make her dig her feet in. He’s going to be an amazing father, but he sure has a lot to learn about women.

“Stay in the truck,” I insist as I climb out and rush to her side to help her out. This would not be a fun experience if she fell, blindfolded, out of the truck.

“Can I take the blindfold off?”

“Not yet.”

“My eyes are sweating.”

“Eyes don’t sweat. That’s literally impossible.”

“Well sweat is dripping in my eyes.”

“The blindfold should be catching the sweat.”

“Are we going to stand out here and argue? Or are we going to eat?” She tilts her head, turning it from side to side. “This is the woods, isn’t it? It’s too damn quiet for us to be near the Indian place. No traffic. No people talking. I don’t even hear birds.”

She spins in a circle, trying to figure out where we are.

“We aren’t having curry,” I tell her, taking her hand and urging her forward.

“I was really hoping for curry.”

“Have you ever been disappointed in one of our dates?”

We’ve done everything I could think of to go out and have fun. We’ve even taken day trips and one weekend excursion to Denver. Unfortunately, Jinx tagged along which was fun, but wasn’t exactly the romantic getaway I’d planned in my head.

“Yes.”

I stop, my feet planted on the concrete. “When?”

“That time you took me to the state fair.”

I clench my teeth, already knowing where this is going.

“You’re the one who insisted on taste testing everything in the park.” She frowns, her pink-tinted lips pouting. “And you’re the one who insisted on riding that damn ride.”

“You should’ve suggested doing it in reverse,” she huffs. “Who would’ve known I was going to get sick?”

“Literally, the guy running the ride that told you, you couldn’t bring the bucket of popcorn and the soft pretzel on the ride.”

“Whose side are you on?”

I press my mouth to hers, smiling against her lips. “Yours baby, always yours.”

“I’m hungry.”

Always hungry.

“He’s going to be a big boy.” I run my hand over her belly. She’s nearly halfway through her pregnancy and one day her flat stomach just popped out. Both Jinx and I are obsessed with touching it. We literally sit on the sofa with her between us, both of us with a hand there. At first, watching my best friend touch her and kiss her stomach was very unsettling, but I know he doesn’t have any interest in her other than the fact that she’s the mother of his unborn child. We were finally able to break him of lifting her shirt while she’s still in bed with me, but anywhere else in the apartment is fair game.

“Are you ready?” I ask, taking a step behind her and lining my body against her back.

“For curry?” This woman has a single-track mind. It works well for me when the lights go down, but right now? Not so much.

“We’ll get curry later,” I promise, but I’m hoping she forgets because she seriously regrets it when she eats it. “Take a look.”

I pull the blindfold from her eyes, pressing a kiss to her cheek when I’m done.

“This is a house, not a date.” I grin because there’s a smile in
