Rocker (Cerberus MC #13) - Marie James Page 0,35

to take him to the root and return the favor, but he pushes my legs together, kissing his way up my body. I’m wound like a top and somehow completely sated at the same time as he drops to my side and pulls me against his chest.

His lips meet the top of my head. “Get some sleep.”

I don’t argue with him or offer my mouth. I know he wouldn’t accept. That’s one thing I’ve learned about Rocker, he only takes from me when he wants to. Usually it’s because he’s giving my body a break, but I can tell by the way his arm holds me to him that he wouldn’t give in if I begged.

I fall asleep in his arms wondering what I did so wrong that would make him not want to sleep with me or come in my mouth.

Chapter 13

Rocker

I’m fairly certain I was in high school the last time I lost sleep over an erection. Actually, maybe it was junior high. At any rate, it was so long ago that I can’t remember the last time I went to sleep unsatisfied. Even thinking these thoughts, I realize I’m an asshole, but women have always come easy to me.

Since I don’t do the relationship thing it was no issue to find someone willing to exchange orgasms with me. The girl always gets off before me. That’s been my only rule. I’m all about fucking equal opportunity after all.

But getting the girl off and turning down her offer to return the favor? That’s never happened, and if it wasn’t for the emotion that I saw on Simone’s face last night when I turned over, combined with her words I don’t want you mad at me, my track record would still be one hundred percent.

What I won’t do is fuck a girl because she feels obligated to, and that’s exactly how things got started last night with her. I refuse to be the man a woman remembers as the guy she messed around with because she felt too unsafe to say no. Just the thought of those men existing makes me want to commit genocide. Knowing that her last sexual experience was exactly that, there was no way I could be anything like that piece of shit husband of hers.

So to that end, the coffee I’ve been practically guzzling for the last twenty minutes and the jack-off session in the shower that took an embarrassingly short amount of time will be what powers me through my day.

I left Simone sleeping, and Jinx was missing from the couch when I walked out to the living room, but my peace doesn’t last long.

“We need to talk,” my friend says merely seconds after the front door opens and closes.

I look over my shoulder at his sweaty body a little agitated that he went for a run without me.

“Talk,” I insist as I pull down another mug from the cabinet and fill it with coffee for him. He scowls at the steaming cup at first but takes it from my hand. I can tell he’s upset with me for some reason, but the man isn’t dumb enough to turn down fresh brewed java.

“We need boundaries.”

I cock an eyebrow at him as I take another sip from my own cup.

“Boundaries, huh?”

“You can’t fuck her.” He places the full cup of coffee on the counter and crosses his thick arms over his chest.

I watch him but don’t respond.

“It isn’t right,” he continues.

“You’re not making any sense.”

“Think about how you’d feel if I climbed in bed with her and stuck my cock in that tight pussy of hers.”

I see red, and I know he can read my reaction without my saying a word. Sweat begins to bead between my shoulder blades and my ears grow hot. I want to fucking choke the life out of him.

“That look says you wouldn’t be happy if I did that.”

I should keep my cards tucked closer to my chest. I should open my mouth and tell him that what Simone and I do is none of his fucking business. I don’t do any of that. I breathe deeply through my mouth and slowly out through my nose as if I’m the one needing to come down from a run and not him.

“You said you didn’t want her, that you had no interest in a relationship with her,” I remind him. “You hooked up with Regina last night anyway.”

“I don’t want a relationship with her.” He jerks his head back. “Do
