Return to Me (To Me Series #1) - Lucy Darling Page 0,2

gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. More so when you’re running from the likes of a Wolf. The Wolf men are not to be messed with. The family name carries a ton of weight. Victor’s being the heaviest. I’m guessing Victor didn't use the most legal of ways to find me either.

“Married?” Nick asks. My glare goes over to Victor. My eyes catch the sight of a ring on his finger. I snap my head away so he can’t see my reaction. Is he really wearing a freaking ring?

“Yes, married,” Victor barks at the poor guy. I don’t have to look to know he’s sending him running back toward the hotel.

“I’m not married.” I pull my sunglasses down from on top of my head to shield my eyes. I watch as Victor takes off his suit jacket. He drops it right over me.

“You’re naked.”

I grab the coat, tossing it into the sand. I’m sure it cost thousands if it is anything like my own boss’.

“Clear it.”

I lean up to see who the hell he’s talking to. Behind us I see Jackson, in his normal all black getup with a couple other men and one woman. They are all dressed the same. They nod at his order, breaking off to do as he commands.

“You don’t own the beach,” I remind him as he rolls up the sleeves of his button-up shirt, showing off his tattoos. My eyes trace over them. I think he knows I’m curious about them. He is always baiting me. My fingers itch to reach out and trace one.

“I can own this beach if I want to.” He sits down next to me. I try to ignore him but it’s impossible. I find myself already leaning toward him. This is why I left the city. He has this weird power over me. I let out a small scream of surprise when he grabs me.

He lifts me up, setting me into his lap. I don’t fight him. My body melts into his. I’ll just have to get away later. There is no running when he is this close. My body won't let me. My mouth might.

I fight a smile as her little body sinks into mine. Her body is the one thing that has never tried to get away from me. It craves me as much as I do her. It is the other parts of her that I am still trying to win over.

She lets herself get inside her head too much. I notice when I give her too much wiggle room she slips away. It’s better when I’m close. It’s a lesson I’ve quickly learned. I won't give her a chance to slip away again. You’d think being married to her would have sealed that deal, but not with my little wife. It’s going to take a lot more to tame her.

“I don’t recall signing a prenup. Wouldn't that mean I’d own this beach, too?” She tilts her chin up in defiance.

“Consider it a wedding present from your husband.” My lips twitch, unable to help the smirk. She glares at me, her dark eyes meeting mine. Those eyes tell me all I need to know. She can throw all those smartass comments at me, but her eyes tell me the truth.

“Oh. So was a prenup another thing you tricked me into signing?”

“No. There is no prenup,” I reassure her. I don’t know what she’s doing. Maybe trying to anger me? To get me to tell her how I managed to get us married? I could get her to do almost anything when I touch her.

A few touches and she forgets what she’s doing. I think it’s why she doesn't care much for me. Losing control isn't something my wife enjoys. But I’m going to show her how good it can be. With me it will be nothing but pleasure. She can let all those walls down for once in her life and let someone else take the reins. She may think she doesn't want me to, but I know her better than she’ll admit.

My hand drifts to the ties on the side of her bikini. There isn't much to it. She looks sexy as fuck in it, but she is for my eyes only. I’m going to have to track that Nick asshole down later and carve his fucking eyes out.

“It doesn't matter. I’m getting this annulled.” This time it’s her that smirks. I’m sure she is working hard at that.

“I’ll never agree to an annulment
