Reckless - Candace Wondrak Page 0,75

me, I’d brought a few things just in case. You see, I always had retribution on the brain, especially since these two had escaped Jaz’s ire for the most part. They were just as guilty as Brittany was, and they would not escape this unscathed.

No, I’d make sure tonight was about them, just as Jaz was making sure tonight was about Archer.

I cracked my neck, strolling over to the two girls before they had the chance to jump in the pool. It was still a bit cool out for that, but they didn’t care. Plus, as ridiculously opulent as it was, I think this house had a heated patio.

Chelsea and Deetra’s eyes turned to me as I approached them, and they both cocked their hips and folded their arms over their chests, doing their best to look like the snobby rich bitches they were.

“Well, well, well,” Chelsea, the red-headed one, spoke. “If it isn’t Jaz’s attack dog. Is your master here?” Beside her, Deetra smirked—though I did notice that she checked me out when she thought I wasn’t looking.

Oh, I knew how to get these girls back for what they helped do to Jaz.

I made no moves in trying to hide my wandering eyes, flitting between them both. “Maybe I’m looking for a new master,” I suggested, watching Deetra’s eyes widen a bit. She was curious. Chelsea, on the other hand, wasn’t biting the bait as much as I’d hoped. “Or two.”

“Did the dog get bored?” Chelsea asked, frowning.

I took a tiny step closer to them, whispering, “Careful, Chelsea. You might not like how hard this dog bites.” I didn’t speak it as a threat, even though it was one. I knew enough about Chelsea and Deetra to know how to play them, and this was all part of the plan.

“I’m not afraid of any biting,” Deetra said, causing Chelsea to glare at her. “What?” She shrugged. “Look at him. He’s hot, Chelsea.” She took a step toward me, leaning her scantily-clad body against my leather jacket. “Who are we to deny him if Jaz is done with him?” She drew a hand down my chest.

Chelsea pulled her off. To me, she said, “Why don’t you make yourself useful and get us something to drink, hmm?” She waved me off to talk to her friend, probably to try to get some sense into her…or to plan how they could use me against Jaz.

Tsk-tsk-tsk. Silly girls. If only they knew.

I gave them a smile before disappearing into the house. I grabbed two red cups and went to pour their drinks. Then I brought those drinks into a nearby bathroom, shutting the door while I got to work. Everyone was too busy making out or already too buzzed enough to pay me much attention, to ask me why I would be going into the bathroom with two cups.

I filled the cups with pretty strong alcohol. Had to see if the girls were as hardcore as they pretended to be. Setting the two cups down on the counter, I flicked the door’s lock and reached into my inner coat pocket, pulling out a little baggie of what I call goodies.

The two girls wouldn’t think these were goodies unless they were using it on Jaz, but hey. What goes around, comes around, right?

I actually put two separate things in both cups. One to make the girls more pliant, and something else that will make their nights not so pleasant.

Was this any different than what they tried to do at that party with Jaz? Yes, because I wasn’t going to let anyone rape these girls—I was just going to take them upstairs, find a room, tie them up and shove them in a closet. The first dissolving pill in their drinks would knock them out and keep them quiet, although I would put something over their mouths just in case.

By the time someone stumbled across them, the second thing would have worked its magic, hopefully.

What was that second thing I was currently mixing into both drinks?

Here’s a hint: I didn’t need to go to a dealer for it. You could buy this shit at the store, for a very specific issue. In fact, the word shit kind of went nicely with it.

Yes, that second thing was a laxative.

Was I cruel for doing this? Eh, considering what they helped to do, what they took part in, no. I might not have been inside that house during that terrible party, but I heard all about it. I
