his Phoenix feathers, making him look like some kind of fire Angel.
He was incredible.
“You’re… you’re stunning,” I whispered breathlessly, making him tip my face up with a bent finger under my chin, telling me softly,
“My sweet girl… now, time to warm those quivering lips.” Then he kissed me, and like always it was a kiss that stole my breath. I released an intoxicated moan that echoed around the cavern, reminding me why I didn’t think it was a good idea for things getting too heated between us during this little impromptu camping trip of ours. So, I pulled back, ignoring his growl of disapproval that also echoed.
“I don’t think this is good idea, there are hundreds of men out there and, well… around you I can't exactly be quiet,” I admitted, but then his wings started to tighten around us, and the action brought me closer to him, eliminating the small space I had tried to put between us.
“I don't give a fuck who hears us, your screams belong to me regardless,” he told me with a fierce admission, before conquering my mouth again, doing so this time with a fist in the back of my hair, so I had no chance of putting even an inch of space between us this time, as he really kissed me. It was hot and heavy, and he didn't just warm up my lips, he ignited an inferno in my belly! One that naturally made me forget about all my worries of who would hear us, now being replaced with a desperate need to come, and by any means he was capable of. Seriously, one minute I was saying no in case his army heard us and then he kissed me, and I ignited for him as easily as the fire he made burn.
But that was the power of this man and what he did to me. As burn for him was exactly what I did, now moaning out my consent,
“Yes,” the moment I felt myself being lowered down, expecting to feel the harsh hard cave floor under me. Which was why I was surprised when I felt soft, thick furs instead. It seemed Lucius had been busy whilst his wings had been around me, as he had obviously set about rolling out a makeshift bed with his mind.
Then, as his wings released their hold on me, I soon found I was now covered with his body lying stretched out over me instead of being encased in his feathers. And as much as I adored his wings, the feel of his body was far better. But then something about Lucius was off… different, as if he was trying to communicate something with me that his lips wouldn't say. Because it became like an almost desperate need as his hands seemed to be everywhere. It was as though he was mapping out my entire body as if trying to memorise every inch of it and admittedly, it was the kind of passion that stole my breath, making it difficult for me to breathe. To the point that I tapped a hand to his cheek to get his attention and once I had it, I forced my breathless self to ask,
“Hey… are you okay?” He must have known why I asked this, as his behaviour was somewhat erratic. He was acting as if our time was running out or something and if I was honest, it was freaking me out.
He released a deep sigh before using both hands to push my hair back, leaving them there to frame the sides of my head. I couldn’t help but give him a worried look in return, as his own gaze looked darker in the shadows of his body. However, his hair was almost glowing from the firelight, making it look like hot sand under the burning sun, which gave him an angelic aura.
But in that moment, he looked so lost for words. It was as if there was so much he wanted to say and just couldn't get it out. Making me question, did he feel guilty about the things he was keeping from me? If I pushed even a little, would the things Vena had told me be on the tip of his tongue ready to come out?
Whatever the answer, I just knew that Lucius was struggling with something, and I decided to help him out the only way I knew how. Meaning that before he could answer me, I fisted my hand in his hair
