boar with a fierceness that matched any warrior he’d ever met. There was the pleasure of sharing her company before the fire.

She tilted her chin up, and closed her eyes to be kissed.

A surge of love threatened to blast his heart out of his ribcage. He kissed her wildly, thoroughly, until both of them were trembling with need.

“Piper,” he murmured again, pulling her down so that they both lay on the soft ground, stars dotting the sky above.

She kissed him again, warm and willing, sending his senses reeling.

Piper

Piper let herself go.

It was like a dream, the cool fall air, the twinkling stars, the warm hands of her lover, slowly removing her clothing until she was bare to him under the midnight sky.

“Beautiful,” he murmured.

Her body was different from last time, fuller in the breasts and belly. There were lines at her navel that radiated out from the place where her body had stretched to bring about a miracle - like a child’s emphasis marks around a drawing of a super hero.

But she felt no embarrassment. Piper was proud of every curve and line. She had come about them in the best way, they were a mark of honor.

Besides, she could read Killian’s approval in his hungry eyes.

He bent to nuzzle her breasts, flicking his tongue over her dark nipples.

She closed her eyes and tried not to moan.

Then he was kissing his way down her belly, pressing his lips reverently against her navel as he made his way down.

She was ready, too ready. It was as if her body had been simmering for him all this time, ready to boil over at the slightest touch.

He nudged her thighs apart impatiently.

She opened her eyes to see his dark head between her legs and then she let her head fall back against the mossy ground once more.

Killian pressed a kiss against her tender sex.

She moaned and felt her hips lift to meet his mouth.

He licked her slowly, firmly, as if trying to prolong her pleasure.

Piper whimpered and shivered, losing herself to sensation.

Killian continued his slow, teasing exploration, bringing her closer and closer to satisfaction, but never allowing it.

Piper felt her whole body tensing, her need balancing her on the precipice.

“Please,” she whispered at last.

He growled against her and slid a thick finger slowly inside her.

She felt herself throb helplessly on him as he licked around his finger, at first slowly and then faster.

Behind Piper’s eyelids, stars exploded, and worlds formed and reformed.

Killian began to move his hand slowly, while he flicked her stiff little bud firmly with his tongue.

Piper cried out and the world shattered around her with the force of her ecstasy.

Killian continue to feed on her, extending the shivering pleasure until she could take no more.

“Killian,” she whispered, putting her arms out to him.

He crawled slowly up to her, his mouth glistening.

She reached for the cord that fastened his breeches. His need was bulging against the leather, making her hungry inside all over again.

But he stayed her hand and kissed her forehead, before lying beside her and pulling her close.

“Don’t you want…?” she whispered plaintively.

“I want you more than you can know,” he murmured. “But we cannot give that child a sibling. At least, not until it’s safe.”

Piper hadn’t thought about that. She had not been thinking about anything, except the frantic need to feel him inside her.

“Rest now, love,” he murmured to her, stroking her shoulder blades. “This time, I will be here when you wake.”

Wynter

Wynter pulled the hateful fur cloak around herself, disguising her slender form under the bulky garment as she stole the last few steps through the woods to her clandestine meeting.

It was bad enough that she had to leave the palace and appear at this horrible little cottage. But it was truly hell not to flaunt the wildly expensive silken gown she wore underneath.

She had heard that pregnancy was ghoulish, and she believed it. Even hiding in her chambers for months pretending to be pregnant was hideously dreadful.

“Here, my queen,” Berit whispered servilely, indicating the ugly cottage with a flourish, as if she’d been too blind to see it.

It was so hard to find good manservants.

His brother, Baird, scowled as if he wished he’d thought of introducing her to something that was right in front of her nose. Then he gestured as well, inclining his head so that his blond hair shone white in the moonlight.

“I’m not a queen yet,” she sniffed.

“But soon you will be,” Baird whispered seductively.

These two jokers were lucky they were handsome,
