No Matter What (The Billionaires of Sawgrass #4) - Delaney Cameron Page 0,85

ending at midnight.

The dream she’d carried in her heart for so long had finally come to pass. No longer was she the girl without a family. She belonged to Reece, and he to her.

Robin had left the choice of a honeymoon destination to Reece. He thought someone of her romantic disposition would appreciate not only the beauty of the Canadian Rockies, but also the idea of staying in a luxury hotel that resembled a Scottish baronial castle. Along with its 768 rooms, European-style spa, private walking tours, exclusive shops, championship golf course and tennis courts, the Fairmont in Banff Springs had a bowling alley. He had to think he’d checked all the boxes.

Uncaring of the uniformed porter following behind with their luggage, Reece carried Robin over the threshold of their suite.

“Bring back memories?” he asked as he set her on her feet.

This reference to the other time he’d carried her brought a smile to her face.

“It does, yes,” she agreed. “But this time I was able to fully enjoy the experience.”

Reece tipped the porter and saw him to the door. Robin had moved to the window. The hotel was known for its spectacular mountain vistas, but it wasn’t the view making his heart beat faster. Along with a profound sense of gratitude, he was humbled by the fact that so amazing a woman had agreed to be his wife.

Drawn to her like a magnet to metal, he slid his arms around her waist, loving the feel of her body against his. “We can’t see this in Jacksonville, can we?”

“It’s truly magnificent, Reece. Nothing manmade can compare to the beauty of nature.”

“So staying here for a week won’t be a problem?”

She turned quickly in his arms, her lovely eyes brimming with the love he could no longer live without. “Staying anywhere with you isn’t a problem.”

“Anywhere, huh?”

“Well, except a boat. That goes without saying.” She touched his cheek. “Have you ever had a beard?”

“Once or twice. Why? Do you like your men to have facial hair?”

“Not particularly. In your case, why mess with perfection?”

She skimmed her fingertips along his jawline to the dimple in his chin. When she replaced her fingers with her lips, Reece’s internal temperature shot up thirty degrees. The self-control he’d relied on to get him to this point gave way. He directed her mouth to his and kissed her as if he couldn’t get enough. Her response pretty much guaranteed where this interlude was going to end. Some remnants of coherent thought prompted him to make sure she was okay with a slight rearrangement of their schedule.

He pulled away just enough to whisper, “If you’re at all interested in keeping our dinner reservation, now’s the time to speak up.”

Her fingers moved into his hair. “I was thinking more along the lines of room service.”

He could definitely work with that.

Epilogue

When Robin saw Owen’s eyelids go together, she closed the book and set it on the nightstand. He’d asked if he could stay up until Reece got home. Robin had agreed knowing the chances of him making it were slim to none. Midnight was way past his bedtime.

Reece was on his way back from Chicago. Robin didn’t like it when he took the late flights. It was a fear that didn’t make sense given his background. He’d performed countless night landings during his tours of duty in the Navy.

After walking Gypsy and Baxter, Robin went over her work schedule for the next few weeks. The wedding at the end of April would be memorable for everyone in the Diamond family. That was when Aunt Leigh and Wilson were getting married. Robin and Reece had been nearly as excited about that engagement as they’d been about their own.

Truly Scrumptious had recently passed the five year mark as a business. Along with celebrating that milestone, she and Kait had talked seriously about opening up a second location. There were risks associated with expanding, but neither of them was afraid of a challenge. Having the support of their husbands was a big help in making a decision.

When the clock struck eleven, she closed her laptop, checked on Owen one last time, and went to get ready for bed. She hadn’t converted Reece to her way of thinking about baths, but he didn’t seem to mind being around when she was taking one.

She took a moment to admire the night sky before closing the blinds in the bedroom. Reece teased her about it. Before she moved in, they’d never
