course I knew, honey, I’m your mother. Also, you were quite obvious.”

Will turns his head to catch my eye, his expression full of alarm. All I can do is laugh, though. Oh well, one less person to tell…

When I wake on Sunday morning, I’m disappointed to find the space in the bed next to me is empty. I can hear the shower in my ensuite running so I know Will hasn’t gone far, but even so, I’d have liked the opportunity to cuddle for a while before starting the day.

Deciding not to waste an opportunity, I slide out of bed and pad across the room toward the bathroom. I step into the shower behind Will, wrapping my arms around him and pressing a kiss to the side of his neck. “Morning.”

He sinks back against my chest, letting out a soft hum. “Morning.”

“Why did you get up already? I wanted to stay in bed way longer.” I sound ridiculously needy right now, but do you think I care?

He spins around in my hold and links his arms around my neck. “We have to go out this morning, remember? Brunch.”

I let out a groan of realization. Of course. Every few weeks Will has Sunday brunch with his best friend Jamie and Jamie’s boyfriend...Shay Kelly. And yesterday Will asked me to come along this time.

I thought it was a bad idea yesterday, and I still think it’s a bad idea this morning, but it’s something Will wants so I’m going to do it. And I guess if our boyfriends are best friends, Kelly and I will be seeing a hell of a lot more of each other—we may as well get used to it.

“You know I’m only doing this because I love you, right?” I say.

He smiles. “I know. And I love you for doing it.”

Ah, was there ever a more beautiful sound than those words falling from Will’s lips? I lean in and seal my mouth against his, tugging him tighter against me as the kiss deepens. Our tongues tangle together desperately, each of us swallowing the other’s groans as our hard cocks slide together.

Breaking away for a moment, I reach toward the shower nook and retrieve a bottle of lube I keep there, handing it to Will. “We can be a little late to brunch, right?”

His eyes flare with desire as he takes the bottle from me. “Hands and knees. Now.”

“This place better have waffles,” I grumble in Will’s ear as we enter the restaurant.

Will looks horrified that I’d even ask such a thing. “Of course, it does! What do you take me for?”

He clasps my hand and leads me toward the hostess, who directs us to a table at the back where Jamie and Kelly are already seated. Kelly is leaning in close to his boyfriend, whispering something in his ear that is making Jamie blush so furiously his cheeks are almost the same color as his hair.

They’re an unlikely couple, given the almost twenty-year gap in their ages, but according to Will they’re perfect for each other. And I guess even I can grudgingly admit Kelly doesn’t look remotely close to his forty-three years, although he is starting to gray at the temples a little.

They glance up as we reach the table; Jamie beams, while Kelly casts me a flinty stare.

“Cox,” he says, animosity dripping from his voice.

“Kelly,” I reply in the same tone.

“Oh, for the love of god,” Will says with clear exasperation. “Can we at least use first names?”

I shrug. “Fine. Seamus.”

Across the table, Jamie bursts into a fit of giggles.

“Benedict Arnold,” Shay mutters to his boyfriend.

Jamie’s face lights up. “A good sort, that one. Proper British hero!”

Will and I take our seats opposite them and I don’t waste any time in finding Will’s hand under the table and threading my fingers through his.

“So, Spencer…you falsely accuse anyone else of selling you out recently?” Shay asks with an icy look, before letting out a yelp of pain and turning his ire on Jamie.

“You promised to behave,” Jamie says sternly.

“You didn’t have to kick me!”

Jamie shrugs. “You’re being a right wanker, and it’s my job to stop you from wankerish behavior at any cost. Trust me, babe, it hurt me more than it hurt you.”

“I really don’t think that’s true,” Shay grumbles.

“It’s fine,” I say with a sigh. “I kind of deserve that jab.”

“You think?” Jamie asks, an eyebrow raised pointedly.

Well that’s confusing…

“Okay guys, I know you’re looking out for me and I appreciate that,” Will
