watched the orgy.

I felt Torrin’s eyes following me, knowing he’d forced his head to the other side. Moving around his room, I explored it carefully. On the furthest table were rolled-up scrolls, and my eyes slid over them, noting they had used one more than the others. Plucking it from the pile, I picked it up, unrolling it while the smile grew over my lips.

“Inside the bedroom of a legendary warrior. Where else, ladies?” I slid my eyes to the male in question, who watched me with an iciness that cooled my heated blood.

I went back to my girls, pushing the map into the satchel draped around my shoulder. Sliding my pack onto my back, I grabbed the cloak and head wrap, slipping it around my face until only my eyes were visible. It was shocking that most of the common people in the kingdom wore these. The people outside the palace wore black, while inside the palace, they wore white head wraps, specifically those who served the king.

“Ready?” I asked, taking in my team to ensure their cloaks and head wraps fully covered them. My attention slid to the male who had rocked my world and shown me what it was like to be seriously fucked sore. He held my gaze momentarily until I flicked my attention back to the women, nodding.

At their nods, we exited the bedroom without another glance. It took us several moments to reach the hallway where Torrin had taken me to see Chivalry. The guards at the door watched us approaching, smiling as they took in our eyes.

“There’s no exit here, ladies,” one stated, smiling softly. “You must use the main doors to leave.”

My hand shot out at the same moment Amo’s did, each of us catching a guard in a chokehold. We wrapped our bodies around them, pinching their throats with our arms to knock them out. The rest of my team blocked the view of anyone who might happen upon us. Once the guards were down, we pulled them inside the door and left them on the stairs, securely gagged and bound to the railing.

“Once we reach the horses, they’ll need our help to change,” I stated, watching as understanding enter their gazes while we moved down the winding staircase.

I entered the stable and paused dead in my tracks. Slowly with anger rising within me, I moved to where the stable hand was laughing, tossing a moonstone into the air before catching it. Fury sizzled through me as I stopped directly in front of him.

“What happened?” I demanded, staring at his yellowing teeth and a crooked smile.

“Those two wouldn’t shut up, so I slit their worthless throats,” he laughed cruelly. “Sliced them up real nice too. I thought they’d make some good eating, but then they went and exploded into worthless stones. Good riddance, I say.”

My blades moved with my body, sliding from their positions on my forearms. I sliced through his stomach, spinning rapidly, striking him in his sides. I moved to face him, sending one blade through his chin and out the top of his head. I pushed the other through his eye, narrowly missing the other blade within his skull. I shoved him back, dragging his body toward the stones so that Torrin would figure out why I’d murdered the bastard. Kneeling, I piled the stones onto his chest, uncaring that I smeared them with the cruel male’s blood.

“Boys, I need you to change and get dressed. We’re leaving,” I ordered, standing while turning as the women stepped closer to the horses, pushing power into their bodies as they trembled before becoming men. “Here, get dressed. They’re expecting us to be on horseback, so we’re not going to be.” I smiled sadly at Chivalry, watching his form shimmering while his silver eyes held mine. “There’s my man,” I stated, watching him transform into a naked human male. He looked at the pile of moonstones that had once been his friend, nodding to me solemnly. He made an inhuman sound and reached for me, hugging me tightly. “Get dressed. We need to get out of here.”

“Missed you,” he grunted, his words barely understood over the noises he created deep in his throat.

“I missed you too.” I swallowed, patting him on the back awkwardly.

Amo handed cloaks out, and the women helped the equinarians dress since the transformation always took them a while to adjust. Equinarians were a rare and unique breed of horse that could transform into men, for a short
