To Love Someone (Baytown Boys #14) - Maryann Jordan Page 0,36
could hardly argue with his logic. “That’s true, but I’ve got to get home.” Even though she couldn’t see him, she heard Joseph’s heavy footsteps as he approached, but the way her skin tingled as he neared, she would’ve known it was him anyway.
“I’ve got her. I’ll get her home.”
She observed Jason and Joseph staring at each other, neither speaking, but man-words seemed to dart through the air between them. Not understanding their silent messages, she was about to interrupt when Jason grinned widely and nodded. Looking down at her, he said, “Looks like you got a ride.” Turning, he walked back into the garage, leaving the two of them standing on the pavement.
“You ready?” Joseph asked, his sunglasses back on his face, hiding his eyes.
“Yeah… um… I guess.” Staring up at him, her heart pounded as her mind wondered what on earth she was ready for.

Joseph held Samantha’s gaze for another moment before he turned and walked toward his motorcycle. Her eyes widened as a jolt of excitement hit her. She’d never been on a motorcycle but had always wanted to. Bouncing on her toes, she followed him, not hiding her eagerness. He turned and looked down, then grinned. Christ, he was beautiful when he smiled.
“Hang on.” He left her standing, and her gaze trailed after him as he went inside the shop and returned with another helmet. “You can use Rose’s. Jason won’t let her on his bike while she’s pregnant.”
“I’ve never ridden but always wanted to.” She placed the helmet over her head and lifted her chin, feeling like a child standing still as he adjusted the strap, making sure it was snug. With his hand on her lower back, he guided her toward the bike. She tried to ignore his fingers, but each tip was a warm brand through her shirt. Clearing her throat, she refocused. “Um… what should I do? Do I get on first?”
His deep chuckle sounded out. “Nah. Wait till I get on, then swing your leg around and settle behind me. You’ll need to scoot up close and wrap your arms around my waist tightly. Then move with me and hang on for the ride.”
She watched as he swung a denim-clad leg over the seat, his heavy boots resting on the asphalt. Standing next to the large motorcycle was a reminder just how short she was. Placing her hand on his shoulder, she managed to get her foot over the seat, then shimmied her body until she was nestled behind him. Her knees were pressed against his thighs, her crotch against his ass, and her breasts against his back as her arms encircled him, holding tightly to his muscular abs. She had always thought riding a motorcycle with someone would be sexy, but with their bodies pressed together and the engine rumbling under her ass, her mind shot straight to pure sex with Joseph. Her arms jerked at the thought, but before she had a chance to rethink the ride, they lurched out onto the street. Even going down the road out of town slowly, the wind in her face caused her to gasp, and she tightened her grip.
As soon as they made it to the highway, they roared up to speed, and she laughed out loud, loving every moment. She wanted to scream for him to go faster but knew the Sheriff’s department kept a close watch on the highway cutting through the Eastern Shore. The green fields flew by in a blur, and for a moment, the idea of traveling the country on the back of a motorcycle—Joseph’s motorcycle—rushed into her mind, and her arms tightened again.
Noticing where they were as she got her bearings, she yelled, “Take the next left at the light,” and he nodded. She leaned into the turn as he pulled off the main road. “Stay on this road for five miles.”
He nodded again, and she watched the trees and farmland glide by, less of a blur now that they were traveling slower. She’d been down this road every day for several years but couldn’t imagine enjoying it more than she was right now. As they neared her place, she called out, “Go past the farm and take a right. I need to let my dog have a run.”
In just another moment, the bike slowed as it rumbled down her gravel and oyster shell drive. Her camper came into sight, and she hoped Frodo wasn’t frightened by the noise of the motorcycle. As soon as Joseph
