His Apprehensive Mate - Brea Alepou Page 0,32
nibbled on his bottom lip as Kenny waited with bated breath. Morgan met Kenny’s eyes with a determination that spoke of his strength.
“I am more sure about this than anything in my whole life. I love you, Kenny, and I want to be mated to you and have a bond with you. I want our souls tied together for all eternity.”
Kenny didn’t hold back anymore—he couldn’t. He swept Morgan up into his arms and crashed their lips together. In the back of his head, he knew he should be gentle, but their teeth clashed and their tongues intertwined. Morgan tried letting out moans, but Kenny ate every single one of them.
Mine.
Kenny only pulled back to convey the severity of the moment. A bond was forever, and not many got to bond with their fated mate.
“I will always love and protect you.”
Morgan sucked in a breath, unshed tears making his eyes glossy. He reached up, wrapping his arms around Kenny’s neck.
“I know, and thank you.”
Kenny kissed Morgan again, gently licking along the inside of his mouth.
“I should be the one thanking you. You are giving me something so precious.”
Morgan blushed and turned his head to the side. Kenny cupped his jaw and turned his face so that they faced each other once again.
“No hiding from me.”
Morgan bit down on his bottom lip hard enough to make the pink flesh turn white. Kenny pried it out of his mouth and kissed him ever so softly.
He picked Morgan up, his soft subtle flesh fitting perfectly in his hands. Up close the straps had a light sheen to them as if they were made from the finest silk. He deposited Morgan on their bed, and for the first time looked around the room. He’d noticed a few things before when he first walked in, but his main priority had been Morgan. Fake candles lit up around the room, and a tray of chocolate-covered strawberries sat on the nightstand.
“I hope you don’t mind I decorated the room a little bit, but it can all be put away,” Morgan said.
Kenny felt the smile tug at his lips. “Should I ask who helped with all of this?”
Morgan cleared his throat. “The guys might have taken me to a sex store.”
What? Oh, how Kenny would have enjoyed seeing his sweet mate in the store. He bet Morgan sported a blush the whole time.
“And the fake candles and strawberries?”
Morgan shrugged. “I know real candle wax gets everywhere, and I couldn’t find a smell I liked better than yours. And the strawberries—well, there wasn’t enough time to have Kash help make them, so I bought them at the grocery store on the way back.”
Morgan had done everything to make it special, not just for himself but for Kenny.
Kenny kissed Morgan once more.
“Give me one second to shower, and we can have our special night.”
Morgan’s blush deepened, but he nodded. Kenny moved to the bathroom with a quickness in his step and showered in record time.
Kenny walked back into the bedroom with just a towel around his waist. Morgan sat up instantly, eyes wide as he took in every inch of Kenny’s body. It felt as if he were being caressed, and an involuntary shiver went down Kenny’s spine. The lights in the room were dimmed, and the soft glow of the fake candles made shadows dance on Morgan’s exposed skin. Not that shifters really needed light to see, but it made the moment that more enchanting.
Kenny made a show of drying off. He enjoyed the way Morgan’s gaze followed the movement of his towel.
“Like what you see?” Kenny teased.
Morgan’s head went up and down so fast that Kenny couldn’t help but laugh at his mate’s enthusiasm. Kenny hung the towel up in the bathroom and made his way to the bed, where Morgan lay on display for him—his mate, the one he was going to bond with. His heart thudded against his ribs as he thought about his reality.
Morgan lay down as Kenny covered him from head to toe, blocking out all the light from touching Morgan. He’d made sure to braid his dreads back and out of the way.
Morgan reached up ever so slowly. His too-light touch to Kenny’s chest was maddening, to say the least.
“You want this, right?” Kenny asked to make sure.
Morgan bit his bottom lip as he pushed up on his elbows, their lips a breath away from colliding together.
“Yes, I want you. Forever.”
Kenny closed his eyes for a moment, making sure it wasn’t a dream
