I was only there to sleep. Now I have a reason,” he answered, looking lovingly at Synclare.

Vivian waved at Synclare as she placed her plate of food on her favorite table top and Quin finally took his place beside her. Synclare waved back and then completely tuned out everything else as Lo'San whispered something in her ear and she giggled in response.

“Do you think we look like that to others?” Vivian asked as Quin reached over taking a small bite of her omelet, before sampling the other foods on her plate.

Quin followed her gaze and smiled when he saw Lo'San and Synclare totally oblivious to everything in the room but one another. “No,” he said. “We look even more lost in each other. Our love is the greatest of all, there is no equal,” he said, placing his hand under her chin to pull her closer for a kiss. “None greater,” he repeated as he kissed her senseless.

Lo'San followed Synclare into the first apartment they’d toured. They’d walked up and down the corridor and each time Synclare had paused outside its door. She was pulled toward this one it seemed.

“Oh, Lo'San, I love this one!” Synclare exclaimed. “It’s got more room than we’ll ever need. And it’s got a kitchen! I could cook for you! Well, if I learn how to cook,” she confessed.

Lo'San laughed. “We call it a galley. And it is not necessary, my Sink Lar. We can take our meals in the commissary.”

“True, but, there may be times we don’t want to leave home. Maybe I’ll learn to cook just a little,” she said, rushing back to Lo'San and hugging him as he pulled her in to him.

He looped his fingers with hers as they walked through the apartment, looking into the cleansing chamber. “It has two showers rather than a tub,” Synclare observed.

“I believe Zha Quin has begun to install both our cleansing units, and a shower which functions on water in each family living quarters. Not all have baths, but we continue to look until we locate one with a bath if you’d prefer.”

Lo'San watched Synclare walking around the bathroom, running her fingertips over the counter top before shaking her head. “I don’t need a bath. I actually prefer showers.”

They walked into the bedroom and Synclare gave a squeal of delight as she ran across the room and threw herself onto the larger than king sized bed. “This bed is huge!” she exclaimed.

“Do you like it?” he asked.

“I do, but, maybe we should try it out together to make sure there’s enough room,” Synclare teased, giving him a sultry look.

“That can be arranged,” Lo'San answered, lying beside her and quickly rolling her beneath him.

Synclare smiled up at Lo'San looming over her. She raised a hand to cup his cheek and closed her eyes when he lowered his head to kiss her. Synclare kissed him slowly, enjoying every sensation to be had from their shared kiss.

Lo'San finally pulled away just enough to look into her eyes. “I still cannot believe that you are mine,” he said.

“Forever and ever,” she said, smiling up at him.

“Do you like this home, Sink Lar? Or would you like to see others. There are more in this corridor, and still more on the next corridor over,” Lo'San said.

“I like this one. I like the location, and I like the feel of it. Both times I walked past I felt the need to stop here. It feels right.”

“Then it is ours,” Lo'San said, kissing her again before sitting up and sliding off the bed as he pulled her behind him. “We will return to Engineering to have it officially assigned to us.”

Synclare followed along happily. “I’m so excited!”

“We can order supplies for our galley, our cleansing chamber, and anything else you may want, then return here to put our belongings away,” Lo'San said as they walked out of the bedroom.

“Wait, what’s that door go to?” Synclare asked, noticing another door down a short hallway.

Lo'San followed her and stood in the doorway as she walked around the smaller room.

“Is it another bedroom?” she asked.

“It is. These are the family living quarters in this section of the ship. It is assumed those quartered here will have, or already have young ones,” Lo'San said.

Synclare’s smile lost some of its luster as she looked around the room.

“Sink Lar?” Lo'San asked, hurrying toward her. “Why have you stopped smiling?”

Synclare opened her mouth to answer as she shrugged but nothing came out. She wasn’t exactly sure how, or
