Hacking the Biker's Code (Dogs of Fire Savannah Chapter #6) - Piper Davenport Page 0,12
me. He’s a total creep.”
I didn’t want to know anything else.
I headed out of the room, hearing Jasmine call, “Good luck,” as I shrugged on my jacket and walked to my bike.
I took a few deep breaths as I shoved my helmet on and started my bike. The last thing I needed to do was wreck, and I needed to focus as I rode over to Parker’s.
Pulling up to her duplex, I took the steps two at a time, then knocked on the door. I heard the chain and then Parker peeked out before pulling the door open.
“What happened?”
“Come in,” she said, stepping back.
I walked inside and she closed and locked the door behind me. I focused on her, studying her face. Her eyes were red, but she also looked pissed off.
“What happened?” I asked, this time I gentled my tone.
“Okay, first, I shouldn’t have gone out with this guy. Jazz warned me and I feel like—”
“Pebbles, what happened?”
She rolled the sleeve of her oversized sweatshirt up and I saw a nasty bruise forming on her arm. I took her hand and pulled her arm closer to me. “Did he do this?”
“Yes.” She rolled her sleeve back down. “We had a really nice dinner at the Chart House, and he wanted to come back here, I said no, and he was angry I didn’t ‘put out,’ considering he’d just dumped two large on dinner.”
“He spent two-grand on dinner?”
“What?” Her eyes widened. “No. Two-hundred.”
I bit back a smile. “Two bills.”
“Whatever! Focus, Rabbit.”
I slid my hand to her neck and tugged her toward me, kissing the top of her head. She wrapped her arms around my waist and settled her cheek to my chest.
“I got in my car and sped home,” she whispered. “I was so scared, I thought he might have followed me. It’s dumb.”
“It’s not dumb, baby. You did the right thing.” I stroked her hair. “Why’d Jasmine tell you not to date him?”
“Because he’s kind of a dick.”
“Then why’d you go out with him?”
“Because I’m horny.”
I chuckled, trying to keep my dick in my pants. “Again, why’d you go out with him?”
“Because I can’t have you.”
“Jesus Christ, Parker, don’t say shit like that to me.”
“Sorry.”
I lifted her chin and met her eyes. “You have needs, Parker, you let me know.”
She licked her lips. “I have needs.”
Squeezing my eyes shut, I took a deep breath. “Baby—”
“Just hear me out,” she begged, gripping my jacket. “We don’t have to have a commitment. Just a little fun from time to time.”
I knew without a shadow of a doubt, the second I slid into her, I’d be well past wanting ‘just a little fun from time to time.’
“It’s fine,” she said. “I get it.”
“What do you think you get?” I challenged.
“I’m off-limits. Jasmine’s filled me—”
Before she could remind me that she was off-limits, I covered her mouth with mine, stroking her cheek as I deepened the kiss.
She let out a quiet mew and I nearly lost my mind, sliding my hands to her ass, and squeezing gently.
“Bedroom,” she demanded.
I lifted her so she could wrap her legs around my waist, then carried her to her bedroom, continuing to kiss her as we stumbled down the hallway.
By the time I dropped her gently on the bed, Parker was laughing hysterically. Jesus, she was beautiful.
Biting her lip, she sat up on her knees and tugged at my belt. “How quick can you get these off?”
I grinned. “Faster than a rabbit can make kits.”
“Then do it.”
“You first.”
“Race ya,” she retorted, and burst into giggles again as she pulled off her sweatshirt.
We rushed to remove our clothes, but she stopped when she got to her underwear.
“Baby, what are you doing?”
“Um, I, ah… just feel a little weird.”
“Why?”
She bit her lip, which made me want to bite it myself. “I’m, well, I’m kind of skinny.”
I frowned. She wasn’t skinny. She was perfect.
“Stop,” I growled.
“I just don’t want you to be disappointed.”
“Swear to Christ, Parker, you don’t stop talkin’ this way, I’m gonna have a problem.”
She nodded, but I could tell she was starting to turn in on herself.
“Look at me,” I said, gently.
She met my eyes and I kissed her quickly. “You are beautiful. You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen and not just because you’re pretty, Pebbles. You’re funny as fuck, you love your family and friends with passion and kindness, you don’t judge, and you show me you. Always.”
“Not on purpose,” she grumbled.
I lifted her chin and she met my eyes again. “I read you
